Got a promo of something that just says "Champion Jungle Sound - Sep.95 - The Box" on it.

It is some heave amen thing that has a vocal "The box" and is a typical 1995 tearout.

In the intro, it has a timestretched vocal saying "This a de remix to make ya body sweat" so, if this is a remix, can you ID the original too?

Can you tell us what the etching is on the runout groove? I don't think we currently have any releases officially labeled as the Champion Jungle Sound LP Sampler (Unless I've missed something)

I think its probably just whites of the individual album plates, they did come out a little while before the official release

awesome bassline and ultra beautifull breakdown

i got the repress from someone else from 2-3 years ago lying here but can anyone tell me if it's the full track?

i also got number 1 and 2 here and at the end of the track (main tracks) the volume just gets lower at the end of the track, like on the jungle hits compilations

i assume it's not the full versions that i might find on the original releases, even though some of those also had 2 tracks per side??

I think I've got The Box Re-Opens as a full artwork single, rather than a white. I'll have to dig through the boxes in storage to find out, though!

I have represses of both (I'm no purist!!!)

I have the original on a slammin vinyl compilation and the remix on an ibiza 4 tracker. Both are full versions and are wicked quality, loud presses considering (2 tracks per side)

It's just a random White label I found in a bargain bin for 50p in a shop. It had those words written on in felt-tip pen!

...And there's NO etching!

there where a few pressings of this single, the 4 track release http://www.discogs.com/release/477015

and the 2 track pressing sampler for it http://www.discogs.com/release/443415 which came out first before the album EVEN though I did see whites of the album floating around at the time as well.

all versions of "the seed" are edited apart from the album version which is not and has the whole "your sound , catch a fire" vocal thats on little rollers vol 1 even though it's re-sung too!

probably couldn't get the licencing till the last min or something.

I am lucky to have the sampler copy as I found it in a hedge!!!!!! then got rid of my release single soon after for a tenner to someone

It was in a carrier bag along with back by the dope demand by king bee but the sleeve of that was well mouldy, the sampler was too but that was only a black sleeve so I washed that and changed the sleeve.

it was in some ropey area of london down some iffy path by a train station (probably croydon way maybe) all I remember is that my mates who were with me at the time said people get jacked a lot down this path.
