i.e.: This was the first record (insert producer's name here) produced and was a limited edition EP

 

OR

 

i.e.: This was the anniversary release by (insert record label's name here) label

 

OR

 

i.e.: This was the first release (insert producer's name here) made on (insert record label's name here) label

 

OR

 

i.e.: This was the first collaboration (insert TWO OR MORE producer's name here) did

Not particularly, I can't see how it would be of use personally. I think it would also cause A LOT of debate for artists who have numerous releases in their first year for example.

I think that having extended comments is fair enough. If someone knows the bare facts, who can debate with that?

 

If you're talking about it being someone's first year, then the release dates will sort out that argument.

Release dates for earlier releases are often just a year, not a specific date
