Remarc - Legalize VIP Mix

The dubplate was recently sold by Dextrous on ebay and it's not listed here... It's pretty much the same mix in terms of structure & samples etc... but has more drum edits.

 

I've got a clip of Jumpin Jack Frost playing it in 1995 which i'll upload in a few days.

If I'm right and I like to think that I am, this track is actually preformed by Bagga Worries & Jooxie Nice. So it becomes:

 

Bagga Worries & Jooxie Nice - Legalize (Remarc VIP Remix)

 

It was released on Mad Dem Records under Catalogue # MADCD001 in 2002. The name of the album is "Judgement for the Culture". The track number is 16.

There are at least 2 versions of Legalize:

 

Bagga Worries (featuring Jooxie Nice) - Legalize

Bagga Worries (featuring Jooxie Nice) - Legalize (Remarc VIP Mix)

 

Both of which were on the same 12" on Labello Blanco in 1995.

 

Bhima, are you sure that the dubplate wasn't just the Remarc remix that was already released on the above 12"?

Before this thread, I thought it was Remarc's own tune; not a remix so this could be the original instead. The version I have is on this: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/planet_mu_records/ziq084 and I can confirm that this is not the same tune.

Wow, I didn't see this dubplate on eBay! I'm at work right now, so is that the clip the dubplate you posted up Bhima? Would like to hear how it compares to the original Remarc version.

 

Edit: Just gave it a listen... nice tune, very different bassline from the VIP mix on JMvs.THS, would love to hear the whole tune.

 

The Remarc VIP mix of Legalize originally appears on the first Jungle Massive vs. The Hardsteppers, and it's the same version on the recent Remarc compilation. The two Quiet Storm remixes on NLB19 are quite (!) different (and IMO, I do like their version better). One of the Quiet Storm remixes also appears on the Jungle General bootleg. That I can confirm.

 

I don't know about which version is on that Mad Dem compilation... never heard of it. But my guess it's probably the Jungle Massive vs. The Hardsteppers version.
