yes it might be an old hiphop tune sampling Expo '83. but it sure aint Pete Rock's 'the basement'.

 

I think of ALL breakbeats in the world that need ID'ing. this is the jackpot prize question.

 

Here's what we got, the guy who made it is 1 half of 4Hero who can't remember what he used anyway. So it might be 1st gen, it might be 2nd. The horn stab should be the biggest give-away when the break is finally found/ID'd but there's also a quiet bassline underneath. lots of busy snares, and the 2nd kickdrum proves that it's not 'the basement'
