Request: Larger message inbox

Here is a request for the admins to increase the capacity of the 'messenger' storage folders, if possible!

 

Currently the private message folders are limited to an overall of 50, sent and received. I wondered if this could be increased somewhat?

 

Its true Server space was once a concern for online forums, with the B2VOS forum only recently removing their pruning from their board. But with space pretty much being an unlimited quantity nowadays, esp. with the limited footprint forum data takes up, making the messenger folders a bit bigger shouldn't be much of a demand on resources.

 

I'd really appreciate that, my inbox has been closed to new messages for a while now. I'm sure it would be a good thing for all, as well.

Yeah, not sure why we still had it at 50. 100 it is now, will prob increase even more in the future

Did this happen? My messenger box still seems to be stuck at 50... :sad:

Erm, I thought I'd changed it but I can't find the setting any more. That's really weird.

Second question, Go to admin, Members tab, Member Groups > Manage User Groups, select the user group you want to edit the max quota. Then select the global tab there and edit Max number of storable messages?.

I assume you have to do for all member groups i.e members, mods & admins
