Barry is no stranger to the world of electronic music. This man has come through the dubstep scene from it's infancy with his signature IDM influenced take on the sound, releasing classics on pioneering labels like Hotflush and Planet Mu as far back as 2005. Barrys music was unique to begin with, but the evolution of his sound has now taken him into whole new territories. His latest project under "The Host" fuses twisted up footwork influenced beats, vintage synths and drum machines, with guitar and bass, describing often spacy, psychedelic melodies and atmosphere. His live laptop set is sure to get peoples feet moving. His diverse influences resulted in an equally diverse musical output, ranging from the euphoric heights of Nordic electronica through cinematic breakbeat to the depth charges of Dubstep. Phaeleh’s unique sound has garnered support from the scene’s leading artists, including Skream, N-Type, Scuba and Kryptic Minds, as well as radio support on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kiss and XFM. www.soundcloud.com/phaeleh Coleco (Soul Motive / Orientis) Coleco is currently a Bristol based musician, who has a taste in music that spans far across the genre landscape. Being influenced by everything from world music, funk, rock, and varying types of electronica, to his memories of 90s 8 bit video game music, Coleco channels his current efforts into the quickly evolving world of dubstep. Although dubstep is the name circling alot of his compositions, Coleco’s music is more of a genre defying exploration of sounds. All of his influences become clearly apparent in his music, as it takes you on a journey through deeply harmonic melodies, and heavy funk breakbeats, with deep, rippling bassline undertones. Coleco set dancefloors alight with his debut release "Campfire Funk" on Soul Motive, and still continues to bring the goods with a forthcoming single and album on Soul Motive featuring the hugely talented vocalist Victoria Klewin. www.soundcloud.com/coleco Wascal (L2S / TTKK/ Sub.fm) Wascal (real name Will Andrews) draws influences without prejudice from the complex web of dance music’s myriad of genres, from early acid house to the latest ‘future’ garage via jungle, techno, dubstep and beyond. His dancefloor focused, yet detailed and intricate production style has led to international radio play from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC Radio 1, XFM), Laurent Garnier (PBB), Distance (Rinse FM), Swindle (1Xtra), Eddy Temple Morris (XFM) and Unlikely (Ministry Of Sound) to name a few. Wascal’s distinct disregard for genre purism has led to a glut of EP’s and remixes for an ever increasing list of labels across the board – notably remixing the Fuel Records classic ‘High Volume’ for Si Begg’s Noodles imprint, remixing Foreign Beggars & Jazzsteppa’s ‘Raising The Bar’ on Studio Rockers, and producing a handful of remixes and releases on Kid606′s TigerBeat6 and Cut La Roc’s Rocstar labels recently. All this as well as releasing tracks on acclaimed future garage label L2S, his own low key TTKK label, and of course Louse Records.
