San Francisco dub guru 'Kastle' has recently launched his new label - 'Symbols'

Jason Burns' progressive take on bass music refreshes and reinvents the genre's aural aesthetic.

 

He has received support from Mad Decent, Smog, The Independent, and was featured in the Top 100 Downloads of 2011 by XLR8R.

 

For the past year his music has been in heavy rotation by tastemakers such as Salva, Distal, Ana Sia, Noah D and Kastle. As a DJ, he has shared stages with Rusko, 12th Planet, Starkey and Araabmuzik.

 

Jason delivers his strongest release to date with a signature blend of morphing soundscapes,

vocal chops and bass.

 

Both 'You Should Know' and 'Your Love' have a strong percussive element while teasing in breakbeats and arpeggiated melodies. 'Listening' goes deeper with off-kilter snares, claps and lots of sub bass.

 

The entire release is a perfect combination between club and soul and will appeal to dubstep and house music fans alike.
