neurotix Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 On the Cd version there appears to be a hidden track of clean drum loops, anyone know what these are? sampled breaks or original drums recorded by lemon/dillinja and Gary Husband. Anyone know where I can hear them please? http://www.discogs.com/Lemon-D-Two-Techniques/release/93442 Quote
Ornette Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Interesting. I was always under the impression that they'd recorded some drum breaks and used them in their tunes, not sure where I got it from but I guess Lemon D - Chainsaw would be the first example of when they were first used I always find this tune never sounds great unless its on +5% or something! Someone posted on this before but I never got back to them I dont thinkhttp://rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56975 Not got that cd but would very much like to hear that. Quote
Sonars Ghost Posted August 7, 2013 Report Posted August 7, 2013 Looks like the Flac for sale here is 13 minutes plus, so would include the gap and then drums and bass samples...worth a punt for £1.75? http://www.addictech.com/p/52301 No idea where to hear them clean, but I would think it is that ridey distorted beat, a few variations and some distorted 808's. If someone has done a full flac CD rip somewhere I'm sure it would show up on a search, and it seems not! Quote
neurotix Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 Believe it or not it's on Spotify!!! The breaks are tacked on to the end of the dillinja mix towards the end of the 13 minutes. Very strange, seems to be almost like a construction kit of the tune, and your right, even has the distorted 808 bass clean. Cant help thinking it was some kind of mistake? Considering he tried to warn off people in print from sampling his drums on other releases, this doesn't really make sense. There's an Amen and an Angel there too. Quote
