Guest gazsimo Posted September 24 Report Posted September 24 Does anyone know which where the 'Jumping Jack Frost' sample he's using to scratch on this tape. Around 03:50 ish. Possibly a dub plate just for him? https://youtu.be/kwStI2A3gts Quote
mindthegap Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 It'll be a 'namecheck' plate he's cut. DJs were doing it during this time, either getting someone to record a vocal (borrowed from sound system culture) or sometimes sampling an MC shout from a previous night which I think this is as it doesnt sound clean (as for what set/tape it might have come from though, that could be a difficult one!).
