Real name JJ Nobrega, hailing from Brixton, South London. Drum & bass/ hip-hop emcee notably from Kool fm, the longest running and most respected drum & bass radio station in the world.

J started to emcee at the age of 15 while still attending Ernest Bevin secondary school with the So Solid crew members Megaman, Kaish & G-man

In 2000 J Swif became one of the studio managers at UK Rumble internet radio station which saw them hosting club nights at WKD Camden

In 2002 J Swif and fellow Mc?s Fever, Blacka and K-Eye along with Dj Major & Dj Damaja created the Aftershock D&B crew also know as A.S.K. They released a track

Entitled ?Aftershock anthem?

2003 J Swif was signed to highly blessed music group by label owners Paul Ibiza & Mc Shabba D, J was resident at the highly blessed events and Mc convention and featured on the ?highly blessed EP? featuring Mc Shabba D, Mc Det, Yardie, Junior Dangerous & Eva

In 2007 ?Wasteman? and ?Too many men? was written by J Swif and produced by Don Goliath and signed to dubstep division records.

In 2008 J Swif & Mc Fever under the alias ?The Pound and Dollar? independently released the mix tape album entitled ?The ? & $ Issue)

J Swif has performed worldwide at countless raves, festivals, parties and clubs including the Notting Hill Carnival and Dour festival (Belgium)
