I note it seems to be overlaid with something of Three Times Dope - Mr Sandman (as mentioned in the Supreme DJ Nyborn - Versatility thread), or at least something aping that... is it the same break loop but edited, do you think?

Sounds like Sandman or Versatility break chopped into oneshots. X-Men already used the break from Mr Sandman Club Mix in "Read Your Mind" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjSc1_ymdQo&t=14), so Phase 2 probably uses Sandman break as well.

  2. Break name: Phase 2

    Artist: X-Men
    Track name: Phase 2
    Original release: 12", Breakout
    Label: Mutant Records

    Year: 1991
    Drummer:

    Notes:
3rd generation version of Queen Latifah - Evil That Men Do break. Samples break from The Scientist - The Bee (Gargle Mix) (https://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/73817-the-scientist-the-bee-gargle-mix/), which is made from Queen Latifah - Evil That Men Do break (https://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/57394-queen-latifah-evil-that-men-do/).

"Touch me" and "Feel me" are on Hit Music Production - Megabass Remix! Sample CD at the End of Track 45 but the sample in Blinded by Science is too long to come from a Sample CD.

Megabass track 45 has different "touch me" and "feel me" vocals, they're spoken, not sung.

No!!! You are not wrong it is from a hiphop/electro tune!

oh wow, great find! I thought Omni Trio chopped Music break
btw, the Hot Pants version here must be from Simon Harris Stretchbreaks library (just a pitchshifted version, without the bass)
