  1. Jungle Syndicate Digital 014 - Stranjah : Wolfman EP One of the early ambassadors of drum and bass in North America, Stranjah has earned legendary status with seminal releases on Metalheadz, 31 Records, Renegade Hardware and Hospital Records. His sound initially caught the attention of L Double at Flex Records in 1999, which later snowballed into his high profiling releases. Stranjah’s sound is incredibly eclectic and essentially impossible to label under one umbrella. Often dark and minimal by nature, it boasts moody, atmospheric overtones with an emphasis on brooding sub bass and pulsating drum patterns. Constantly evolving his sound utilising varying tempos and incorporating a wide array of musical influences, Stranjah has enjoyed longevity within the Drum & Bass scene that is constantly shifting onto the next big thing. Wolfman: A track fusing jump-up basslines with a hard amen break, the two worlds collide in the title track of this ep. The way the track is built and drops is akin to a ‘wolfman’ becoming his full monstrous self when howling at the moon. That 'Growl' sound on the first beat of each phrase represents the Wolf. Reign Supreme: Grimm joins Stranjah on this one, with his minimal drums and atmospherics and Stranjah’s gnarly synth bass with heavy amen. The track is homage to Technical Itch's Stack 2. It was actually written about 7-8 years ago and Fabio played it as his rewind tune of the week on BBC, but it never saw the light of day until now. Phantasma: As with Wolfman, Stranjah was experimenting with a wobbly jump-up bass along with some old-skool beats on this one. Jump up drum & bass has been dogged on for many years, however, a new legion of young producers are taking it more seriously with its sound and bass design, and some of these sounds are just mind-shattering. The bassline on this is more of a scaled-down approach, all the highs and mids in the bass have been low passed, while maintaining the movement. This track will definitely keep a dancefloor moving. End of Days VIP: This is a VIP remix of an older track, redone with a half-time beat. Inspired by No U-Turn and DJ Trace records with its reese bass and distorted 808 bassline. It was featured in a mix a couple years ago and people have been asking for it since. Mastered by Macc @ Subvert Mastering Audio can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/junglesyndicate/sets/stranjah-wolfman-ep-128kbps Available on July 18th from www.JungleSyndicateRecordings.com and from all major MP3 retailers soon after.

  6. Jungle Syndicate Digital 004 - dgoHn : Jack Salad / It Doesn't Matter - Out now! http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm112/sortyalifeout/JSD004-1.jpg With dgoHn headlining our fourth birthday in Bristol, our third birthday in London and absolutely smashing the Prohibition Den at Boomtown this year it has been a good year between for dgoHn and Jungle Syndicate, and we look to continue that with an absolutely stellar single for our digital imprint. The first track Jack Salad is a crazy little tighten up number, packed with crazy little edits and glitches that keep your head shaking and nodding in wonderment. Them crazy drums set over the top of filtered haunting pads and vocals this is definitely one to get you moving. The flip side to the single It Doesn't Matter is more of a classic amen banger, with militant amens flooding in from the very start, until the track starts to unfold more bringing in soothing pads to juxtapose the drums until an absolutely soothing breakdown seems to round it all nicely before the last drop finally comes in to destroy the place with filtered and glitched amens. dgoHn - Jack Salad / It Doesn't Matter: A. 10. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm112/sortyalifeout/JSD003.jpg Proudly presenting the next instalment from Jungle Syndicate Digital. The Sands of Time EP from M.D.S is a 5 track epic, combing heavyweight production with the vibe and ethos of early 90's rave. We are happy to have some words from the man himself: "Before writing this EP I'd taken a step out of new school jungle and spent a lot of time listening to earlier rave music, specifically the amen jungle that was coming out in 1993 being played by Randall. I was inspired by the form of older music and the narrative they portrayed. I set out to write an EP with more of a long form outlook. With less focus on the micro elements and more on the macro. Take lyrics out of music and your left with an ambiguous meaning, one people will be free to impose there own interpretation on. Harmony and melody bring out emotions, which we create to our own life experience so on one level music without lyrics carries more meaning. The EP goes through a range of dynamics and harmony which are directly related to my own experience and feelings and were cathartic in moving on through the hard times. Which is what its all about for me music, expression people can share in. Anger, love, peace, chaos, the ebbs and flows of life we all experience, music can unite us through all of them and bring a more holistic view that can be therapeutic in the hardest of times and joyous in the best. Embrace life and all of its colours!" MDS - Sands of Time EP: A. The Abyss B. Angry Raptor C. Sands of Time D. In My Dreams E. 13. Proudly presenting the second release from Jungle Syndicate Digital - This time we take you on a journey from past to present; A retrospective of the sounds of Jungle and drum & bass brought together by a man making a strong mark on the scene - Scape. The Retrospect EP is a truly complimentary selection of tracks representing both the mellow and harder aspects of Jungle. The title track Retrospect hails back to the 90s with an ambient and deep vibe held together by sharp and punchy percussion. Similarly Dedication pays homage to old times, exhibiting the slower tempo and layers of percussion that epitomised Jungle throughout it's ealier years. The heavier side of the Retrospect EP comes in the form of Elements and Visitors in to the Unknown. Both tracks hold on to the deep and ambient synth work that prevails throughout the EP, but drive forwards with a hard and distorted percussion style. Summed up - The Retrospect EP is the sound of 90s Jungle brought crashing in to the present with unique drum processing and cutting edge production. For the heads new and old - One not to be missed! Scape – Retrospect EP: A. Retrospect B. Elements C. Dedication D. Visitors into the Unknown Mastered by Macc @ SubvertMastering Audio can be found here: www.soundcloud.com/junglesyndicate/sets/scape-retrospect-e-p-jsd002 Available from the 27th of May at; www.JungleSyndicate.com and shortly afterwards from all major retailers.
