I don't seem to be able to log into the forum over there any more. I've tried a few times recently and it seems to be working but never logs me in.

Sounds like a good story. Would love to hear more about it... Was it more a technical chore or a more "personal" thing on the producer side?!
We were focusing on early to mid-90s stuff and had a few tunes from Dextrous on board and several others we were talking to. Many of the tunes we were after (we were picking our favs from the unreleased forum) had been lost, had issues relating to copyright/ownership or people were just not particularly up for bringing out. Added to that there was no massive financial incentive so you can understand why lots of the producers weren't overly fussed by it and didn't really have the time to devote to it.
Anyway, the plan was to have a series of limited vinyl releases and then a CD to follow later on. We had distribution deals lined up and nearly had the first 12" sorted but the lack of future stuff meant that we couldn't commit to it all.
Shame, really, would have been a nice little project. We may well pick up on it at some point but it was quite a lot of effort to get it all sorted and the site alone takes up enough of our time anyway!

Yeah, Dextrous himself has said that it as nothing to do with him.

Foals are great, I picked up their first album but only listened to the second a couple of times. I see they've had a third one, should probably give that a spin too!
A band that I absolutely love who play nice, melodic tunes but also have a little more to their sound than most are Field Music. I guess they're not for everyone but I'm a huge fan. Tones of Town was their best album, in my opinion but all of them are good. The last three were all excellent and the're well worth seeing live too. Very talented lads

Funny you say that about the unreleased jungle...I'm right on that tip @ the moment. I'm thinking about starting a label and releasing unreleased 90's stuff along with my own material.
We were gonna do this through RDB for a little while. Had a first release nearly lined up but, sadly, couldn't get everything finalised. Good luck if you're trying to get stuff off other producers to put out, we found it quite a chore!

This is odd. I can't replicate the issue locally. I think we're experiencing some issues with the server, it seems to be taking quite a hammering and the moment and not dealing with it very well.
Sorry for all of this, I'm looking into it and will try and get it fixed asap

I'm getting this too. No idea what's going on here but I'll see if I can work out what's happening!

Cloud 9 - Do You Want Me Baby (& remixes)

I spend to much money on vinyl and doubt i will ever stop.
This seems to be a common theme for most people who join the site
Welcome, Leon. Good to have you here!

No worries, I found where the admin email bit was in the forum settings and changed it to info@. Cheers for letting me know!

Right, taken me a long time to reply to this!
Cheers for all the recommendations, people. I'm loving loads of these. I checked the Join The Dots label and they have some cool stuff on there, nice to hear of some smaller labels doing some good stuff. Been loving loads of the Bicep stuff coming out recently and also have some Flori bits on Secretsundaze that I really liked, the rest of that lot are definitely my kinda thing. So much new stuff to check out now, it's impossible to find the time for all of it.
Logic's post reminds me that I really need to listen to more of this Action Bronson guy, I've seen his name all over the place recently and the tunes Log sent me of his were wicked. Shame to have missed the guy doing a live show in London in December. Oh well, next time!
I've been loving these bits in the past few weeks
Kolsch - Der Alte
So simple (and a bit cheesy) but works really well.
Justin Martin - Don't Go (Dusky Remix)
The Danny Daze mix off the same release is also nice
This one came out earlier in the year but was one of my favs from 2012
Kyodai - Breaking

I've heard Mastodon before, liked that for sure. Not heard of Kylesa but will check 'em out. Nice one on the other names too, I've heard a couple of those guys and they were right up my street so will check the others.
We're working on the updates/subscribe issue. Not sure what's going on with all the email notifications but something's up. This forum seems to have broken a load of things that were working just fine since we moved servers/upgraded it but we're trying to fix the issues. Annoying, I know, so can only apologise and say that we're looking into it!
-
Unleashed, Dismember, Entombed...this is all good stuff. It looks like you're into pretty identical stuff to me. There are a few names in there I don't recognise, will have to go check 'em out.
Do you listen to much new metal stuff? If so, any recommendations?
Klute's band was called The Stupids - http://thestupids.org/. I think it's very likely that lots of d&b guys are into metal as well. Surely all those Current Value/Dylan/Tech Itch style guys producers have to be into that sort of thing? It's very similar in style/noise

Where's the staff@ email linked?

Yo, I'm a HUGE metal fan too. Always been into Death/Grindcore kinda stuff. Carcass are the best band to have ever existed. What sort of stuff are you into?
Something seems to be up with emails, no idea why people aren't getting them. I'll investigate now I'm back from Christmas
-
OK, had another person mention this today as well. I'll look into it.
-
There have to be a few different artists here, right?
There's the one on all the Phantasy releases/labels and definitely another that does later D&B stuff. Is the one on Beta the same as the other later releases, though?
-
Yeah, we've been having some weird problems with the forum since going live. The biggest issue is, like you've pointed out, it's sometimes not possible to edit old threads. It's on the list of things to fix, but I'll have to admit that this is a fairly long list and at the moment we are insanely busy with work so the RDB tasks are taking longer than I had hoped to tick off.
Please let us know of anything else you spot that's wrong and we'll try and get it fixed as soon as we can

Yes!
Awesome, that was really bugging me

Could someone with a dnb arena login do me a favour?
