I don't think this is the Rebel - he showed more respect to his sample sources. This is just a mess. I guess it's a mash-up that somebody threw together with Congo Natty scraps and some other typical 94 sounds. Can't really understand all that the DJ says, but he says "Black Star Liner", which can refer to someting entirely different than Blackstar aka Rebel.

seems 4-Tree was not DJ Die after all, but Roni Size's brother known as Didi Shrue (credited on some of V recs early releases). At least that information is popping up everywhere on the internet.Maybe he's also the guy behind the Diditec studio (just guessing from the name now)?

Maybe that helps: the Peshay dubplate has "You got me burnin" on the other side, so it must be from around 2002. the L Double plate has "Marcus Intalex & ST Files - Revolution" on the flip, so must be from around 2002 as well.

hi everybody I found a couple of Dubplates in our record store and was wondering if sombody could ID the tunes. I gave the mp3s the titles which are handwritten on the dubplates. I don't know if they are correct, so don't bother too much about them. you can find some information on the net about a Rebel MC tune called "Gun pon teeth" (see to listen). I cannot find the tune in the data base. Is it there under a different name? It sounds in large parts like "Stamina", but it's different. Can anyone help?

There's is a 12" with 2 tracks, both have that vocal sample in it: "Birds flying high You know how I feel Sun in the sky You know how I feel Reeds driftin' on by You know how I feel It's a new dawn It's a new day It's a new life For me" Searching the net I found that the lyrics are from a song called "Feeling Good", sung by various singers, e.g. Nina Simone. The rest of the production is pretty basic, more or less just a bit of drums and synth. Could be from around 96 - 00. Anyone knows this record and can give me more information about it? :bounce:
