  1. Kemet Crew - Loving You (Kemet - KM28)

Wicked tune - the "paaaaass me a dubplate" ting is actually sampled from a Brian & Toni Gold track called pass the dubplate (this one's a real dancehall tune !)

there's also a remix (the next "congonattyremix" i think  ) that widely sample that tune, but i'm don't think you're talking about this one

You also could find this sample in Chatter B - Dub On Fire (http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/avex/avcd11423) and Dubtronix - Pass Me The Dubplate (http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/broken_beat/ewm4153_2).

  3. Anyway, there is the same case with Grooverider - Mysterious Of Funk single Cd and double Cd version. The On the Double, The Rainbows Of Colour, C Funk and The Cybernetic Jazz tracks are much longer (edit) on the double album than the single album.
  4. How exactly does it differ to the METH version? Is it just shorter (ie does it just fade out at the end) or is there a noticeable difference in the structure of the track?

If it's an edit then we'd simply put (edit) after the title - the name would be exactly the same otherwise. In general we haven't really been distonguishing on compilcations when a track fades out before the end of the track as yet, this is something that could be considered for listings.

Yeah, there are noticeable differences. Not the fade out (the REACT tune don't fade out, anyway). There are sequences (i dont know how could i say) in the METH track which are missing from the REACT tune.

  5. Are the tunes actually different in production or is the React version just a shorter edit of the proper tune.

We don't go by what is printed on labels as defining proof of what mix of a tune it is. In fact, in many cases we change the listings we have of that compilation to tie in with the original 12" release.

I suspect that the two tunes are exactly the same, just labelled differently.

The REACT tune is actually a shorter edit of the Metalheadz version. It lacks some part of the meth version. The Metalheadz title (Nasty Habits remix) was only a suggestion to distinct between the two versions.

  6. There are two versions of Doc Scott Drums '95. The Artcore and the Metalheadz version. The meth release is much longer than REACT one (could we call it shorter mix?) and the title of the Metalheadz release is Doc Scott - Drums '95 (Nasty Habits remix) (http://www.discogs.com/image/R-5553-1081930194.jpg) meanwhile the REACT compilation (http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/react/reactcd075) has only the Drums '95 title. These titles in your database could be referred to that they are different versions.
  7. To Shape The Future was initially released as a single: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/metalheadz/meth027

The clip does sound very much like the original, especially after it drops. However, there do appear to be extra noises just before the drop... although I'm going off memory of what the original sounds like - not heard it for a while!

But I think the Platinum Breakz release is the same as the vinyl release. And the extra sounds are from the previous tune (Randall & Flex - Sahara Dawn) I guess.
