  1. No, different tune, still need an ID for this one. Here's the full track direct from Hype's show: Thanks again vetoe13, I took your advice and bought the Sold/Filthy Sanchez single off Discogs.
  2. Thanks for the ID! Wish me luck finding it, looks to be pretty obscure!
  3. Sorry for the double post on #1, forgot I posted it here already!
  4. Hi everyone, I have a couple of ID requests that I haven't had any luck with so far, so I am posting here. #1: Played on DNB radio show here in Rochester (NY, USA) in 2000, Amen-based track with samples of an auctioneer. I asked the DJ to ID it back when he first played it, he declined to answer... so it might be a stateside release, maybe not. http://www.mediafire...gox0buieuy9yc2c FILLED thanks to vetoe13 Boomish - Sold (Auctioneer Remix) #2: DJ Hype played this on his radio show (Kiss100) in 2001. He announced it as Roni Size/Full Cycle crew but did not ID the track name, maybe it was out on dubplate at the time. I'm sure I heard it in clubs around 2002, so I think this was eventually released. I tried checking the samples here, on discogs and youtube but did not find this track; however it's pretty distinctive so I believe it will be an easy ID for someone! http://www.mediafire...86ibqcf36ntc62k Thanks!!! 5. Looking for help IDing this DNB track. I recorded it off the radio in 2000. It is a jumpy DNB track with Amens and samples of an auctioneer. Any ideas? Thanks!!! http://soundcloud.co...ctiondnb-sample FILLED thanks to vetoe13 Boomish - Sold (Auctioneer Mix)
  6. Finally dug up that last ID, stumbled upon it when looking for another FSOL track!
  7. hey y'all, Ed Rush played this one too on the Above the Cloudz mix from 1997. It is absolutely identical to the Clarky version. I just put a vid up on youtube for it: Enjoy!!!
  8. TY, it's Holy Ghost Inc. "Jihad" which only appeared on the compilation CD "Give Peace A Dance Volume 3: Psychotic Reactions". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DV9FW36-88 I had heard "Psycho Missus" on a different radio show and thought it was a remix of this. Thanks!!!!! rpm
  9. Hi all, I posted this a while back at tuneid.com but no-one's been able to help me out there.... so I'm hoping someone here has heard this track. I recorded it off the radio a few times in 1992 but the DJ never ID'd it. I heard another track which I believe is a remix of this on another show, it contains similar samples, and if that would be helpful I can post it too. Thanks!!! RPM
  10. Hi everyone, I've been trying to ID a couple of tunes from DJ Dove's February 1993 Psychosis Timeslip II set. One of them was requested a couple of years ago in this thread. The download link from that thread expired, so I made a couple of short youtube videos for that track and also another one I'd like to identify. Here they are... The first one is the second track in the 1st mp3 mix, features the intro of Kraftwerk's Electric Cafe and a really pitched up ....The second one is about 33 minutes into the 1st mp3 (14th track by my count) and it has a from L.L. Cool J and also a sweet intro with strings. Any help is appreciated!!! RPM ETA: See jj's post below, all 3 tracks are now identified!
  11. What a great tune. You should also check out the Counterforce mix by Vapourspace, it features both the DJ Crystl and Bay B Kane remixes of this track. Mark Gage sequenced/mixed it by computer which I believe was rare back in 1995. http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/33783-counterforce-compilation/ http://www.discogs.com/release/9867
  12. I got two of the tracks identified at tuneid - edited to include the track titles. Anyone got any ideas about the third one? I think it sounds like a Ray Keith production, has that "Penny Black" sound to it. Thanks, RPM
  13. That Power Zone track is nice. Not the one I'm looking for, but nice. RPM
  14. Good catch, thanks for the Liz Torres ID. Also thanks for the suggestion - I registered on tuneid and will crosspost there. RPM

Here's some from my collection. These are all captured from vinyl, so please let me know if you need other parts of the tracks so I can sample those. mantronix-king_of_the_beats_(spinback).mp3 mantronix-king_of_the_beats_(power).mp3 mantronix-king_of_the_beats_(amen).mp3 kraftwerk-numbers.mp3 kid_n_play-gittin_funky.mp3 I have the 12" of Rump Shaker by Wreckx-N-Effect but not the LP. The 12" has "Teddy 2", "Radio Mix" and "Bonus Beats" mixes - I don't know if any of those have the break you're looking for, of if the break is only on the LP. If you have a low-quality sample of the break, or sample of a dnb track that uses the Rump Shaker break, please post it and I can see if that break is on the 12". Thanks, RPM
  16. The True Faith track samples Bridgett Grace - Take Me Away (A-Capella version). I just posted a track ID request for a different rave/hardcore track that also samples the Grace track. Edit: this was identified as Unknown Artist - Virgo (12") Just for fun, I did a split-channel version with the Grace A-Capella on the left channel and the unknown rave track on the right. It sounds like the turntable power is cut at the end of the sample on the unknown rave/hardcore track. http://www.sendspace.com/file/jaw0qy I have a Reid Speed mix that contains a two-step track that samples the Jay Mondi version - I can post a clip if anyone cares. RPM
  17. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely try to find that track. RPM
  18. Hello, I recorded a mix of mostly Rave/Hardcore tracks from a station here in Rochester back in 1991. The show was Ultrapulse with DJ Deep Dish (he is now known as Nev). There are a number of tracks I would love to identify. Maybe this one is not technically a hardcore track (Hi NRG? House?) but I'd like to know what it is... main distinguishing feature is the vocal sample "Givin' it all I've got". I have heard the bassline at :19 in the sample used on other tracks. sample 1 ID: Norty Cotto "Giving It All I Got" from DJ's Delite - Volume 1 (12") The next one does not have a bassline, just a looped break layered with samples from lots of sources. I know the melody at the beginning is from a house track; Frankie Bones also used that sample on "And the Break Goes Again" from Bonesbreaks 5. Then at :07 there's a sample from MC Lyte, "Name is crack" (from I Cram to Understand U). Then at :16 it's the intro of "Hall of Mirrors" by Kraftwerk, back to the house sample, then followed by "Take Me Away (A-Capella)" by Bridgett Grace at :25. I don't know what the rap at 1:02 is sampled from. Note that the DJ starts mixing in a track with heavy bass at :25. I am not particularly interested in that one (which features a sample of someone saying "sometimes I feel like I could explode"). sample 2 ID: Unknown Artist - Virgo (12") Track number 3 is an Amen-driven hardcore track with "murder" and "this is London" samples. sample 3 ID: Sonic Experience "M.T.S (murder those speakers mix)" on Protien (12") I'd actually like two IDs for track 4. The DJ played a rap acapella (could it be "Don't Hold Back!"???) over the base track from :23 to 1:07. The music track has a Spanish phrase sample I can't identify and the track periodically samples the drum loop from Space Opera's "Space 3001". sample 4 Edit: Liz Torres sample ID'd. Sample is not really from Space 3001, it's an unidentified track on a compilation that also has Space 3001. ID: Arthur Baker - Silly Games (12", Promo) The last one is pure instrumental and unfortunately the DJ is talking over most of the unmixed part. This one is a very intriguing track. Is the break at :22 the same one from "Crazy"? If not it sounds very similar... sample 5 ID: Indo Tribe - I've Become What You Were Thanks everyone! RPM
  19. Hi everyone, I'm looking to ID a few tracks from a set Ray Keith performed in 2001. I've been able to determine a few of the other tracks in the mix thanks to this forum. IMO, all three of these tracks sound like they were produced by him. The first unknown is the first track of the set. It samples the "unknown-faith" acapella that is floating around ("how am I supposed to try.... we all have good times... got to have faith... I'm tired of being the loser not the winner... happiness is still around, it can be found..." etc.). Track 1 sample ID: Twisted Anger - Faithless from the album Mothership The second one starts with a piano riff and a female voice singing ( sounds like "Dread???"). It then goes on to sample the bongo roll and "Bass" sample found at the intro of "Bass... How Low Can You Go" by Simon Harris. Track 2 sample ID: Dark Soldier - Dread Colony from the album Sinister The third one does not have any vocal samples. I included the tail end of the previous song because I think the moaning sample might be part of the track I am interested in. (I think that sample is used in other tracks but can't think of any in specific.) Track 3 sample Still unknown... Thanks! RPM
