Kidkameleon Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Hey knowledgable types, I'm looking for information on a track I can't find in the database. It's a remix of Redfinition by Blackstar (the Mos Def and Talib Kweli Blackstar, not the Congo Natty affiliates). I have it as an mp3 from many computer transfers, but I remember getting off a promo sampler CD from URB, probably around 98 or 99. A friend is incorporating that song into a written piece about sampling, and I want to get him correct information. I SEEM to remember that it was Pish Posh who did the remix, and it definitely sounds like their work from around then, but I never remember seeing it in shops, even as a white label... Can anyone help with who the remixer was, if it was ever pressed, and when it might have been released (I'm assuming not to long after the actual Blackstar album was)... Cheers, Matt / Kid Kameleon Quote
Kidkameleon Posted September 13, 2006 Author Report Posted September 13, 2006 Oops! Figured it out: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/rawkus_primitive/ptv191 I was thinking it was Redefinition, but it was actually Definition. Does anyone know what the relationship was at the time between Rawkus, Rawkus Primitive, and Rawkuts? Why split the DnB releases between Rawkus Primitive and Rawkuts? -Matt Quote
