Royalties

I look at this website on an almost daily basis looking at where different samples have come from and who uses what and I was just wondering how many artists have been hit up for royalties and the likes by record companies that look at websites like this. Now obviously artists are meant to clear their samples and Im sure that nowadays most artists do but in the beginnings of hardcore/jungle.drum and bass Im sure a lot of artists didnt.

true that, i noted alot of artists sometimes used an alias when not clearing a specific sample. mainly because it's less easy to trace who did it.
