fannypad
As per title, looking for the ragga tune that's sampled for the "original come to boom it up, raggamuffin me come back again" etc vocals in X-Project - Walking In The Air and Syko & Mak - Rough And Dangerous. Did a search of the forums and couldn't find anything to indicate the sample source, just the lyrics from the X-Project tune.
Logic
It's definitely Cutty Ranks, I just can't think of the tune at the mo I believe it's "move it up" btw Edit: Ah yes, this was the tune we previously thought was "Grizzle". Don't have a confirmed ID on this
MrMooncat
100% cutty ranks i cant remember the title either, lol, i think he had someone else on the track with him the line goes "original ranks come to boom it up, raggamuffin me come back again" but x-project cut the "ranks" bit out its from "Cutty Ranks & Supercat - Kill Dem" The other bit you mentioned is from a track that is made from 2 different acapella, i have it somewhere :-)
fannypad
Wicked, cheers for that Is there an acapella of the Cutty Ranks tune floating about, or another version where the sample is clean? Everything I've found so far has strings over the intro vocal in question.
MrMooncat
yes there is a acapella, but its kinda rare! i am after it as well! its called "Cutty Ranks - Original Ranks - FAS094" Fashion record, released 1991! Simon
fannypad
Just realised a girl I live with had a copy the whole time... tucked away amongst the Ghostbusters theme tune and a 1960's spoken word record about how to look after ponies.
