Recordings from the Drum & Bass Arena ‘Poll Winners Party’ on 16th March 2001 at Fabric. No sets were released on tape/CD as far as I know, but the night was broadcast live on the Drum & Bass Arena website, so various recordings floated around on the net afterwards.

1) MC says 'Southampton'... I guess the recording is from Paradox event. Andy C's selection speaks for itself... there's tracks that he played between late November and the middle of December

2) From my digging I figured out Andy c was on lineup for Devotion in June... Looks fine. But cant find any flyers from Devotion @ Concorde 2 in 2004. Absolute nothing. Plus looks like there was a mess with this cd pack where Andy C is, since Pendulum played their set in April or May. I mean this one cd pack: different artists, and even different months when theirs sets were recorded. Nonsense

I can confirm that the dates given for the 2 sets on mixesdb are correct.

 

1) The first Andy C set was recorded at Paradox 'Ram Records Label Tour' in Southampton on 28.11.2003. The mixcloud upload refers to "Drum & Bass Awards" but this must be an error, as I've listened to the whole set and it's definitely from that Paradox night. Interestingly, the mixesdb page links through to a planetdnb page which also shows that a Red One and Moving Fusion recording was uploaded back in 2004. I can't find that audio anywhere though.

2) The second Andy C set was recorded at Devotion at Concorde 2, Brighton on 26.06.2004. They were running a monthly night down there on the last Saturday of the month. Below is an extract from ATM Magazine Issue 60 with some more details.

I don't have the event details for all the sets from that Devotion CD pack unfortunately, but it looks like they were definitely recorded across multiple events. I added the pack to discogs but I only owned it for a few days before someone bought it off me. I never even ripped the CD's to be honest.

Thanks for that, too. But the Pendulum set is still a mystery. I really don't know when their set was recorded. But I suppose, according to them who still haven't played their remix of 'Pack of Wolves' untill July of 2004, it was recorded in the first half of the year

Warpdrive2004 - thanks for the Mampi Swift and Bad Company sets. I've updated the Bad Company tracklist to include the whole set, and I'll do the Mampi one over the weekend. Thanks also for the info on who played that night - it's just the Kenny Ken and Ed Rush sets we haven't found.
