1992
https://www.discogs.com/release/192292-Sacred-Keep-On-Going-Bass-Keeps-Going-Do-It-Together I’ve noticed that when I’ve heard this record played in sets (ex: Ratpack Slammin Vinyl CD mix) and in some vinyl rips that the bass on this record is extremely distorted. I would like to know from owners of the vinyl if this distortion is just the way it’s recorded or if I keep hearing bad copies? Its very noticeable in the passage from Do it Together: “Call me a star, watch me shine” / “London Massive”. You can hear heavy distortion on the amen break and especially on the pitched down TR-808 BD boom at the end of the measure.
rage
I wouldn’t go as far as saying extremely distorted but yeah there’s some distortion on both sides. Doesn’t ruin the experience though, there’s a ton of bass and all round it sounds great.
