  1. If you mean break before hot pants comes in it might be this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crOLhnPmyAc Just the first couple of bars looped
  2. Recognise 2 as well but a bit more obscure...
  3. 1 is J Majik - Needlepoint Majik - Metalheadz 6 is Trace and Ed Rush - Don Bad Man - Lucky Spin
  4. Good remake mate, we'll pick up this conversation on Soundcloud.
  5. That track is called "Stationary" on my CD of Slow Motion. In any case, I can hear the break in question again, a bit of Apache, a bit of "Rudeboy Run Tings" break all processed by J Majik. We will have to agree to disagree on this vocal you can hear, all I can hear is the same beat mentioned before but processed, this time with a bit of LFO triggered filter on it at times, with the same types as of processing as I mentioned before. Doesn't look like anyone else cares as they haven't chipped in. Do you program?
  6. Just listened to Subway, it has Apache all the way through. I can hear what sounds like some self sampling (J Majik saying something whispery into the mike and effecting) and pads and bass. What else are you hearing? It's possible you can hear some of this self sampling in Final Approach as it was all the rage at headz in the 90s.
  7. I would say it is the amount of flange or phase on the break making it sound as if it is 'singing'. If you take the two breaks mentioned and apply different amounts of phase/delay/flange you will get a similar effect. That said listening back I am pretty certain Gremlinz and Stranjah sampled from the J Majik track as they are very very similar. Remember in 96-97 it would have been a hardware FX unit so it may be hard to exactly completely replicate with plug-ins, but as I say you will get something similar with whatever you have...or just sample from Final Approach! Check some things by Arcon 2 on Reinforced for that kind of effect used on similar breaks. Maybe this is a good example? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqohgwroKK0
  8. PA Intro by MC used on Manix - Hardcore Junglism - Reinforced 1992 and remixes. Appears On Ellis Dee tape from pack, starts around 26.14 Clip - http://www.mediafire.com/listen/9hr38059vntuc82/Hardcore_Junglism_Sample.wav
  9. Think that pad would also be the one in Dexxtrous - The Choice (Planet Earth) 1993
  10. CDs must be ripped from different versions of CD if tracks are different or missing. I have that version from Dogs and it is all in a different order. I don't hear that break in the Stranjah track, I just hear a phased and delayed "Life Could" (or the Paris version) break. It could even be that they sampled it from the J Majik track to make it sound more Headzy, but it wouldn't be that hard to make it sound like that. The J Majik one similarly has lots of phase/flange and delay on it, and the other break coming in and out is...Life Could! Search on here for both versions of that break, one is Rotary Connection 'Life Could' (the original) the other is Paris 'Make Way For A Panther' as used by Goldie with the 'Huh' and 'Yeah' in Angel etc.
  11. Sorry, it is Planet Drum and Bass (Rave Planet is another library). It is track 25 on that CD. I think it must be a break as the live drums stop on the track before. If you have that CD you have the break!
  12. I know it's on the Reinforced Planet Rave sample CD. They aren't named. I have it clean if you need it, but have wondered myself where it is from. Could be from a session as some on that CD were from Dollis Hill recording drummers days.
  13. Not to worry done it now. https://soundcloud.com/sonarsghost/for-real-2014-remake Just run original underneath...
  14. So this is for all sound clash tape collectors. ID needed for the Rodigan clash these samples are from Both tunes sampled are from the clash too. Some more used in this http://mfi.re/listen/tloatp9h59rm12z/06_Souljah_(Version_#02).wav Even an ID on the opposing sound voice would be a lead Many thanks. These are needed as I am remaking For Real Dom
  15. It's kind of soul pride bits with a pitched up 808 kick and loads of hats...the same one (or from a similar source) in Peshay Gangsta on Reinforced. It's on Jungle Warfare 1 I think...obviously the Foul Play one has bits of their flanging Amen all over it to make it sound Amenee...
  16. I always thought Taktix sampled the bit of the break on it's own from Foul Play Volume 3 Open Your Mind - Foul Play Remix (with the stop, hold it, Freeze, now). You all know how that sounds... The same little break used in in Fearless Wonder Jim Polo/Neil Vass Remix I would guess Taktix sampled and effected/beefed/pitched down from Foul Play and SUAD sampled from Taxtix for Red Light. Sound like a plausible chain? Question is what is the original Foul Play sample from?
  17. Also 4 Hero - The Power (Original Mix) Reinforced Records 1993 Thanks to Ornette for the spot
  18. Anyone know what break is that comes in 1.05 with the double ride hit at the end? Is it a different section of a more famous break? Dah...can't think I'm sure Stretch used it on one of the A-KO releases too...may be 'The Request'.
  19. Every artist that this has happened to over the last 20 years should club together and make a compilation of these dope tunes called either "And What Fat Tony?" "Sue Me Danny" "Better Looking" "Illogical Regression - The Solution to 20 years of lazy selfish label running"
  20. No problem mate...as I say I didn't give up and I found the bugger! Cheers
  21. Ok I've moved mine over so this can be deleted. Did my ID request not ring any bells with the posted video or Take You higher? You were very quick to tell me I had doubled your post, it's a shame you weren't so quick to let me know what I was looking for. Still I got there in the end. Yes Ornette I reckon Feeling Up and First Sequence are pretty much the same kit!
