Ornette
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/proper_talent/pt014 Just a little confused. #14 shows: "Knowledge" b/w "Pressure Roll" this can be read from the label photo... ...however I have this as a white and know it as "Up Top" b/w "Pressure Roll"...The track clearly has the Chuck D vocal sample "... I like that for the people up top..." in it.Could there be a mistake on the label? http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/proper_talent/pt018So, then, #18: "Up Top" b/w "Pressure Roll (Remix)"I know this 12" to be remixes of both tracks on #14.Does anyone know if these are the official track titles? Basically, either: PT014 is labelled wrongly, and the track title should be "Up Top" (and PT018 should be changed to "Up Top (Remix)")OR: we have incorrect details for PT018, and the track title should be changed to "Knowledge (Remix)" - - - - - - - WOW! just noticed this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007TKGO...lance&n=130http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0007TKGOO.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpgI taped this concert off the radio from years back - had no idea it ever came out on video!Source of many famous quotes!(most of which lifted from the Nation Of Millions album, though)
sch_pr
So, finally it seems that PT014 is labelled correctly :(see : http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45224) titles should be :a) knowledgeb) presure roll (but it is still posible that the promo is different from the final copy...) lifeline
So, finally it seems that PT014 is labelled correctly :(see : http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45224) titles should be :a) knowledgeb) presure roll (but it is still posible that the promo is different from the final copy...) I have the promo copy of this. The B side is a white label and the A side is the proper talent logo but there is no mention of any track titles. It sounds like Ornette might have a mispressing possibly?
Ornette
Looks like I could be wrong about this. The Ellis D ID clip from Force Is Electric is certainly one side of the 12" I have (no "...i like that..." samples in it?) ... whats the other side of this 12"? Ornette
http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/proper_talent/pt014http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/proper_talent/pt018 Alright I just compared the two at home and it seems that i must have wrongly assumed "Up Top (Remix)" was the remix of PT014. It has the similar sounding Craig Mack 'flava to ya ear' guitar on the intro hence my mix up, but yeah swaps the Flava Flav "...I know what you're sayin'..." vocal for Chuck D's "...I like that for the people up top..." :smile:I guess I've never heard the original "Up Top". Is it any good?
