Xpand Posted November 28, 2013 Report Posted November 28, 2013 Hey! This is my first post! These breaks I've been looking for for ages now (around 2 years) I heard them mostly in video game soundtracks, but it's very likely that they have been used outside of that genre. I'm talking about this one: (possibly edited with a high pass filter) And this one (bongo break) (which oddly enough is on the same track): http://youtu.be/nujl0s4W2vg?t=3m36s If you can give some information on where they were sampled from, or even more known tracks that have used them I thank you very much! neurotix Posted November 29, 2013 Report Posted November 29, 2013 cannot remember the names of the original tracks they come from, but they are both on Zero G Jungle Warfare 1, which can be got as a Reason Refill or aif/wav. They are both also in another Reason refill called Dr REX Drum Loops. In the Jungle Warfare refill, the breaks are called 'Us 2' and 'Optical'. In the first example you asked for, there is also another break which comes from Demon Boyz - Dett (Speaker Feeder Mix). That break is a also in Jungle Warfare 1, and its called Deamon. Quote
Xpand Posted November 30, 2013 Author Report Posted November 30, 2013 Thanks a lot! Knowing that there's actually a sample pack that has them is better than having no reference at all. I still need to find a way to get them outside the rex format, because I'm unable to use the samples in that state. Quote
neurotix Posted November 30, 2013 Report Posted November 30, 2013 The Jungle Warfare 1 is available in all formats, try website called 'audioz', u should be able to get it without too much searching. Failing that there is also a program that unpacks Reason refills into aiff, wav formats, I forget what it is called though. Failing that, u could always ask nicely and I can sort you out with the 2 breaks u need! Quote
Logic Posted December 1, 2013 Report Posted December 1, 2013 Moving this to the breaks ID forum! Quote
Weltall Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 In that NFS song there are many more breaks from JW1. I counted at least 5. Quote
