  6. Drummer: John Cannon Theres a big article in this months WaxPoetics about the people behind this recording. It's been a mystery for years!.
  7. these are the results I got for searching Label: promo on classictrax.ltd.uk http://www.classictrax.ltd.uk/product.asp?class=search Theres quite a few of them in there!, but alas, not #7. Worth checking back though. + some of them are reasonably priced. classictrax is a last-resort kinda shop (as you may know) due to some of the silly prices they ask. EDIT - it's not letting me link to that, but you can view it by just putting 'promo' in the label category. http://www.classictrax.ltd.uk/advanced_search.asp

  11. I've never heard this one before. It's definately not the D.O.P.E. mix, the DJ Monk remix, the AWOL mix, or the 'Exclusive mix' on Jungle Massive 3 though. http://www.rolldabeats.com/search/title/everyman
  12. It's this: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/promo/promo07
  13. Hi, I think the track you're refering to is Red Eyes - 'Pusherman' http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/bingo_beats/bingo050 It's not a remix of Alcazar. Both records sample Chic - 'My Forbidden Lover' Check the clip here: http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php...375&hl=chic

  16. He's looking for a sample ID for a loop used in the 2 d&b tracks he mentioned. I don't think it's the same loop tbh. The bit in 'Vice' is a piano, the bit in 'Cool...' is a flute. Might still be from the same source though. Anyway, The Original Playboy tune sample is apparently Norman Connors - You are my Starship: http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php...=norman+connors
  17. Gender: Male http://www.rolldabeats.com/person/kerri_chandler http://www.largemusic.com/large/kerrichandler.html
  18. Aaaah but that was a bit later on mind, like 1986/87 or summat, once you get past 85 your hearing samples. The first half of the 80's were practically sample free, hiphop wise. That rock riff might be a re-playing of something else though, same way Sugar Hill replayed every break with session muso's.
