Guest Guest Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 This was on a Metro mix cd, but I really don't think this got released on vinyl. CLIP HERE Quote
haste Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 i used to have this on plate not any more though  this isn't unreleased though as it appeared on the cd...or does the fact that it was mixed mean that it is unreleased?!? Quote

I think it should be considered unreleased, was a heavy remix though. Quote
khal Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 this isn't unreleased though as it appeared on the cd...or does the fact that it was mixed mean that it is unreleased?!? I see tunes like the same way I look at Ed & Op's "Bleep Bleep" and "Zoner"; both have been used on mix cds, but never saw the light of a vinyl release. I would consider no vinyl pressing = unreleased. Quote
Phokus Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 But where does that leave CD-only album tracks? And some artists are being forced to go the route of CD release only... Quote

Yeah I wanted to rephrase when I posted that, but I had to go. I think that if you can get the tune UNMIXED, FULL LENGTH, no matter if its vinyl/cd/mp3, it's a release. If it's something that's only available in a mix, I don't see that as being a release. Quote

I don't doubt that in the future, with forward thinkers like mackie making moves, that some labels will allow mp3s to be bought on their websites, that are high enough quality that people will play them out. Not really old school mentality, but I see it moving to that type of direction. Quote
