    Same track?

In this 'series' I will ask your help to confirm whether two (or more) particular entries in the database actually are the same track. This post will be updated at times the required confirmation is received. Integral Records - INT010 ATM Magazine - ATMMAG79 Refusal (VIP Mix) == Refusal (Calibre Mix) -----
  2. You were posting just before I turned the board offline. Upgrade went OK, but unfortunately some member structures have been changed, resulting in a lot of errors on the site at the moment. Currently one can not log in on the site, while I am working to fix things.

Hmm... the first should be a 404. Thanks, will look into this one.
  5. That's not a bug, it's a feature (seriously)
  6. Right... thanks for the reminder
  7. I know what is going on. Will have a look at this this week(end).
  8. Would like to give full props to Haste and Phokus for keeping the site at the high level it is currently at.
  9. I can confirm this, but can't think of an easy 'fix' at the moment. Will take a closer look.
  10. As you might have already noticed, the updates from the forum have been inserted in the database. Thanks to a huge effort made by Phokus. All additions and corrections from the past months should be in there now, so if you noticed anything missing please re-bump the particular thread.

  18. The night was absolutely amazing, it has been really great to (finally) meet up with you lot and see faces to the names I've known for ages now. Big shout to all you who joined for the (first) rolldabeats night, great to see the people who are active on the forum, but most of all like the music in the same manner we do. Special thanks for my personal host for the weekend Haste, you and Phokus did a more than excellent job pulling this one off. I really hope the rush of the evening itself was as good for you lot as it was for me. And finally I would like to thank Mike L for letting me have the couch! I will soon put the pictures online which should gives an impression of the night (as well as my photograph skills...) If any of you out there (Henry!) took any photos please do send them to rolldabeats@gmail.com.

Not yet, so keep it in mind :-)
  20. It's not as black and white as you make it. The big difference between this techno and the 'other' techno is that this is done by a producer which does drum & bass as well and is therefore listed in the database. The same goes for John Tejada for instance, who does techno as well nowadays. As we explained to you earlier as you refer to, the reason was no so much that we don't want 'other' music in the database, but the fact that even with just drum & bass I can't keep up with the amount submissions. That was why you were asked to wait with submissions which were non-dnb until we have the new backend and more people can add things to the database.
  21. First the happy part: today's update shifted the amount of tracks in the database over 100.000 tracks! Great to see the amount of information coming from various sources to make the database more complete and accurate. There is however a downside to this substantial amount of information. I simply do not have the time available anymore to include all the updates and corrections. This does not come as a surprise, we have seen this coming for over a year now, therefore people have been working (voluntary) on a complete overhaul of the website backend. Once this is in place the most problematic point of the website is tackled: other people than me will be able to alter the database and include the incoming additions and corrections. For the coming period all effort will be put into finishing and testing this new framework. There will be lots of changes, but mainly from a backend point of view. Once all this is done I will be able to do other things on the site than adding new information. There must be about 438572 suggestions for new things on the site. A lot of them useful, but time simply has not allowed me to actually work these suggestions out. This is exactly what has made me lose interest in the site in the past for some time. Adding new features is way more satisfying than adding new releases. The consequence for the moment is that a lot of updates will be stalled. Mainly the ones coming in through the forums as they usually take up the most time. Especially with all the discussions going on lately. In short: if your information was posted on the forums and has not been inserted in the database with this morning's update it can take a while before it will. Once we're done with this new thing and more people can make the alterations I expect we should be able to catch up quickly. Do note that the submitted information is not lost; it will be used, not straight away however. Therefore I would politely like to ask not to reply in the earlier posts about when the particular information will be added to the database. I apologize for the (upcoming) lack of updates; I hope you understand that I will need to put my spare time into the upcoming transformation.

Does this mean Penny Black is set to inactive? (Will remove the entries from the database)

    UDFR020

It already has that being mentioned in the comments doesn't it?

    Apex

Yes we did, but that's why it's just this release. This is exactly the reason why I usually drop the (2) or (3) for the artist one can expect more entries from. Next time a release will have an 'Apex' as the artist name that is how it initially will be in the database... untill someone noticed things are wrong.
