Logic
Recognized tons of the jungle tunes, but I only knew a couple of the sample sources. Trip2clip is from Top Cat - Bunn the Sensi. The other one I could get was for "ForceTenclip" See this thread You answered my question  The original source is Buju Banton - Man A Look Yuh What's the RDB entry for the tune? droid
OK, that's 9 so far, though I suspect the next 11 will be more troublesome. Including Haste and Logic's ID's that makes 23 in total - wheres the last 3?
droid
Jungle Fever EP a3.mp3: General Echo - 'Give me one a fi yuh Gal Friend'. droid
Noise Factory-Skin Teeth.mp3: First sample is: http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/54031-tenor-fly-roughneck-fashion/ The second ('who a badboy etc'...) is very familiar. Ill try and track it down. OK, got the 'who a bad boy' sample in this. Its Carl Meeks - 'Who a bad boy'. Redman Label, Far East riddim, 1987 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFAf4Mp_IcM
droid
TheClashclip 2.mp3: Shabba Ranks - 'Mr. Loverman' dubplate "If a love/clash yuh looking for, you bruk up on the right man/sound" Not a proper ID, but the best I can do.
droid
baptisedclip.mp3: Lion Youth - 'Rat A Cut Bottle'. Virgo Stomach Label, 1981 The vocal comes from the deejay at about 5.22. EDIT - this was rereleased recently. Review in issue 4 of Woofah.
droid
TheClashclip 2.mp3: Shabba Ranks - 'Mr. Loverman' dubplate "If a love/clash yuh looking for, you bruk up on the right man/sound" Not a proper ID, but the best I can do. If anyone wants to try and track this down, you're looking for a clash tape from late 92 or 93. Probably a big Jamaican or US sound as Shabba would've been pricey back then, Jaro, Addies, Bass Odyssey etc...
droid
OK, I think that's it. I may be able to ID another 3, but the rest are reggae loops and my specialty is 85-95 ragga and dancehall. Citadel Of Kaos-Ceasefire.mp3: This is DEFINITELY Johnny P but having gone through over 100 of his tunes I haven't been able to find it. 'Grammy body' SHOULD be it, but no... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfn259HsBN0 Dopeclip.mp3: I have a rough idea of this one but cant pin it down. JungleJesusclip.mp3: I think this is Capleton or Turbo Belly, possibly on an early 90's Jammys cut of Lecturer - not sure though. 4 Jungle Fever EP a2 2.mp3: OK - this isn't a ragga sample. This is a female patois vocal talking about raving so I reckon this was just a joke ting done in the UK. The same vocal is featured on Potential Bad Boy - 'Warning' http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/ibiza_records/9095cj3/ I'll be over in Dublin in June. I'll shout ya. Good stuff. You can get me at droid (at) the fear.ie or through my blog/Naphta/Mully etc...
