JNP
Why is it that there are so many Japanese releases that have extra tracks not available on the domestic (UK or US) versions? This is not just a DNB phenomenon, it happens in deep house too. What did the Japanese do to deserve this special treatment?!
Ornette
Perhaps a willingness to spend money. The japanese love our music! Not only you are talking about a predominantly CD market. It just lends itself to having additional tracks that otherwise would have no justified reason to release on our shores. There's a lot of gems to be found on the Japanese CD market
haste
Yeah, I never really worked that out either. The music market out there is (or was) huge, especially when it comes to vinyl/CD collectors. Ornette may well be correct that they're willing to splash out on music more than people might be over here!
JNP
I guess they're still willing to buy music as there plenty of recent Japanese-only releases (from Joe Claussell, Jeff Mills...).
