DnB 365
Does anyone know where the Roy Ayers-like section from 3:05 - 4:02 is sampled from? Think it's vibes, bass and strings. I absolutely love this part of the tune and I've always wondered what the source is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwHIop-ixdg
Ornette
Hey I've wondered this myself, that breakdown is pretty special. I do like it a lot. However I think its a composite. I was listening to 'Tic Toc' earlier, and it sounds like its that opening xylophone note. The strings are definitely extra so I think its something they composed themselves. Pretty deep! I had the same thought, although I also wondered if B-Jam went to the original source of the Lords of the Underground track. Can't find out where Marley Marl got the sample, he also uses it on World Renown - Come Take A Ride.
Ornette
Ahh I see Well could well be standing corrected. As matter of interest, which mix do you prefer out of the original and the 'DJ Friendly' mix?

I've always preferred the DJ Friendly mix actually, it's the one I've got on 12" and it's great fun to mix with. You?
haste
I would have thought it's just a straight sample from something. Of course, I'd be happily proved wrong as well but knowing the tunes from them at the time I'd be surprised if it was something concocted from a few different sources.
