Advert in Atmosphere magazine #45, Nov/Dec(?) 1998 now has it:

CHRG 006 Mampi Swift - Sonic / A Touch Of J

In the same feature he mentions that he had a 6 track EP & CD signing with Parorusia, that doesn't seem to have come about?

Is this then what ended up as becoming the Long Life EP, as was released as a cd also. There's only one track on it that resembles his earlier sound though

I own the dubplate of Under Duress, Duress is an alias of Swift and Pascal.
It was later remixed in 1998, that version is unreleased too.

Wow, remixed in 1998 you say?
Are there any clips floating around of the other side, "Dedicated", would be interested to hear that

So, in all - going through the above, it seems there were details of three others that didn't come out: "Stretched", "Siesta", "Change". I see there's a number of dubplates listed on discogs giving details of a few more, like "Wonder", or "Nook"

I see also there is a thread here listing a number of unreleased clips. I wonder how many of these match the titles we have:
https://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/74585-unreleased-mampi-swift/

Mampi Swift had quite a bit of a distinctive sound back then, didn't he. I was interested to see his 'studio tips' feature in Atmosphere #43 'May · June' 1998 talking about his use of the Soundcraft Spirit mixing desk, and saying:
"one of my personal faves but not so recognised tunes "The Journey"."
That was definitely a stand-out track for me also, for sure when I bought that 12" it was for "The 1" (it was a flip-up at the time of going either for that or "Hi Tek"!) but on getting home found myself very satisfied with what was on the b-side. Probably all in all preferred it to the main track.

There's one other unreleased track of his I've been very eager to find out more on...
and it's this from DJ Hype's Kiss FM show on 10.04.1996
http://www.classifiedlistening.com/tarzanstuff/Mampi Swift - 'sounds like that'.mp3

It's such a slammer that, I don't know why it never saw light of day. It's also funny because, going through his back catalogue it's almost like there's echoes of it heard throughout a number of his other tracks such as "Old Song", or "Thase", but not quite of the same calibre!

Do you think it might be a Swift & Pascal production also? There was a little more I was able to find on it, in that either an earlier or alternate mix of it turned up on a dubplate here (given there as dnbc25 / Swift - Sound Like That) with apparently a different version of "Kick Dat Flava" on the flip.

Another of my very faves of his has to be "Synthetic" from 1998, really such a stand-out track...
Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
