Grooveriders track 7 (=Hitman) & DJ Rap's track 2 (=DJ Rap - World Of Confusion) have been digitally edited from this album.

 

Don't know if that's the case for ALL copies. Will check my other copy (without the sticker), but this one's definitely has the 2 tracks removed!!!

Well, clearly NOT! My first copy has both tunes in there!

 

So please add as a comment that versions exist where the listed tracks have been digitally removed.

 

When I go over to my mate's place I'll compare the box and discs, see if there are any markings setting them apart.

I've only heard the edited version where Hitman plays for about 2 seconds on Grooverider's mix. On DJ Rap's mix my copy has Droppin' Science Volume 2 as track 2 instead of the listed DJ Rap World Of Confusion and once again most of the tune has been edited out. Last tune on the DJ Rap set is SDR & Subsonic - No Sound FX instead of Dream Team - Shadow.

are the tape versions edited??? I used to have it on tape but sold em when I got it on cd and my cd was edited and I swear the tapes wernt ?. probably a 74 mins limit on cds back then kinda thing maybe?.

As I already mentioned above, I've got 2 copies of the 3CD pack. 1 set is edited and 1 set is not! This would probably mean there was a repress where the tracks were removed and as I assume the tapepack wasn't repressed I guess it's only available in an unedited version.

I've got it on tape as well and Hitman & Droppin Science Volume 2 have (almost!) been edited out.

You can definitely see the difference between te versions:

The top one with 1 dot at the end is the unedited original, the bottom one with 2 dots at the end is the edited version.

you must have a good camera/scanner dude! , you just made me think because of that as I'm used to checking the runout grooves of vinyl but never thought of checking cd's in the same way.

could be a whole new subforum thread maybe , cd runouts??? most probably would be a nightmare doing it though (and boring possibly ).

 

does make me think why fantazia even bothered to edit it , it must be because they didn't want to pay the royalties or something ?.

It's mostly just proper lighting. But then again, I am working in the vision industry

But I think cd runouts aren't usually interesting. Never seen any sort of message in there... (but I admit I usually don't look at them).

Small update: CD3 also exists in versions with 1 and 2 dots, and CD2 is the same (1 dot) on both versions.
