Adé's version sounds a lot like it in the intro! But I agree that the Bonny & Highlander tune sounds like a female voice. But it must also be completely accapella. No background sounds.
-
Only option for sampling would be the reprise on the promo 12", but can't find that anywhere... I think it may well be from this: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Accapella-Treasures-Volume-Two/release/418470 Or any other accapella album... they have been used a lot in the past. Can't find this particular version...
-
Are you sure? The Bonny & Highlander version doesn't sound like Nicki Richards...

Yes, It's Kirsty Willcocks (as KW), and you can buy it here: http://kwkw.bandcamp...ack/poltergeist (though it's a slightly different version)

Hmm... I see a strange edit (obviously NOT by Fresh himself) on youtube as DJ Fresh - Exhale (Christmas Partybag Edit). And for some unknown reason, the original clip I linked to has gone and now also has this strange version (but at least the beat structure is the same). Anybody know if there is an official release out there?!?

It already exists: http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49170-everything-but-the-girl-each-and-every-one/ But you're right, most times it doesn't show up in the search results... But at least the info's updated now. -
??? The vocal "Conscious awareness" comes from the movie Brainstorm.

Differently named remixes / remixes of more than one tune
The_Manipulator replied to haste's topic in Releases
The whole Mutant Jazz thing. And I remember a Ram/Virus thing. Ram Trilogy - Mindscan (Ed Rush & Optical remix) and Ed Rush & Optical - Life Crisis (Origin Unknown remix). -
afaik music house wasn't a record label. So it would be strange to actually have releases on 'music house'...

In that case we can take it all the way back to the mellotron days and ID it as 10cc's "I'm not in love"! Sounds too processed and too generic to really identify... Also, most midi sound generators have 'choir' sounds that sound like this.
