  2. @Haste - need to get a second round of these done! Can recommend Do Make Say Ink in Birmingham, have a few shirts from various people printed by them - https://www.facebook.com/DoMakeSayInk/
  3. Comments on the main site seems to be steadily targeted by link spam. (see the Recent Activity section on the front page). Any chance to implement an automatic ReCAPTCHA to try and combat this?

  5. Holy shit that's a leftfield sample
  6. I still have this problem happening to me. Oddly, I am logged in to the site if I click through from the forum (once I'm logged in) using the "rolldabeats.com" tab link under the logo. If I try to navigate to a URL I've previously copied to the clipboard, I'm logged back out again. (Happens in a private browsing session too). Does the main site not pick up on the session cookie properly unless a specific referring URL is there?
  7. Funnily enough, resuscitating this zombie thread, this is happening again for me again after not happening for a while. Still logged in on the forum, front site doesn't recognise me. If I hit "log in", it takes me to the forum -- already logged in. Tried logging out and logging in fresh, still didn't recognise me. Time to have a fiddle with some cookies. (Then attempt to figure out what's going on...)
  8. Hi, thanks for responding to the twitter nag :> I've JUST figured out what's going on. I'd log in to the forum, then edit the address back to get back to the front page -- not realising the "rolldabeats.com" text under the RDB forum logo is in fact clickable. It seems the cookie isn't recognised if you manually surf to the front page again -- it recognises me if I click on the front page link after logging in, but if I authenticate then go to the RDB front page any other way it forgets me again. This also means you can't seemingly log in and have it remember you for future use of just the main web site. I'm always 'forgotten' when I go back to it again. Chrome, latest version, various PCs (work, home, etc).
  9. Hurrah. I've noticed a handful that aren't working tonight but almost all of them are absolutely fine.
  10. This has been happening to me for a while -- can't update my collections, perform main site functions etc, though obviously the forum works fine. ;-) Any advice?
  11. Tried clicking through from an Ill Skillz search; it gave me results fine and the other profiles for D.Kay, Raw.Full etc work. Just Ill.Skillz's actual profile's not rendering, I get a lovely MySQL error. http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/illskillz

    Lighterman

Real name: Rory Wells Exclusively signed to 36 Hertz Originally grew up in Leighton Buzzard, these days based primarily in Birmingham and Luton. Some deets including a couple of good photos: http://www.dogsonaci...85&mode=article http://www.myspace.com/lightermanmusic
  13. Sounds like Mr. Morrison to me... Quick way would be to youtube duel it ;-)
  14. I had problems hearing the lyrics in the sample at the start of Verano (released on Frequency years ago); I heard it again just now and I'm still struggling to make them out. Are they from a film?
  15. Preaching to the choir here... I work at an indie label and .... may have ... accidentally misassigned identical catalogue numbers to one or more releases in the past :/ (as we use one incrementing number but a variety of prefixes and suffixes for our cat numbers, until we had one definitive database of releases and available catnos keeping track of who had assigned what was particularly tricky, especially for long or delayed projects) Personally though I'm very much of the 'exists until proven otherwise' completist POV.
  16. tbh I think the inverse; it'd be nicer to have at least an entry because that indicates authenticity at least, that the release itself is verifiable even if the full T/L is not certain. And who knows, perhaps a polite email or tweet to Andy C / Red One / Shimon etc may yet yield some details to fill in the gaps?
  17. fapfapfap! That sounds ace. Appeals to the completist anorak in me :-D For the search, could its behaviour be refined a little? For example: I search for "the verdict" using "All" criteria from the dropdown. I get these results: http://www.rolldabeats.com/search/all/the/verdict If I then click on CHRG044, the search box changes to "CHRG044" and "Catalogue". Would remembering the last search type be beneficial to users? I was doing a lot of searching by title last night and it became a little inconvenient changing the search type all the time. (spitballing here, about the option to choose between Radio buttons or the existing dropdown?) Also, if a search by catalogue number or title is done and there's no matches, how about altering the link to the subforum to http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=new_post&f=4 to begin the addition process with just one click? That one's just timesaving for us anoraks ;-) If there was also a way for the back-end submission system to be made available to people with a proven track record of quality additions (or, a moderated submission queue) that could possibly be a far more efficient way to add new releases if they have all the info to hand themselves without you then having to go and copy/paste it all.
  18. It'd be lovely if we could also arrange our Collections by "Added on" date (if it's recorded) or "Year of release" for the records themselves. The latter should be possible to shoehorn in; does RDB record when an addition is made to a user's collection? I for one would consider it very cool to be able to see when I bought what records. :-)
  19. A side: Phace - "Basic Memory" Flip: Misanthrop - "Y" Label: Neosignal Cat. #: NSGNL008 Street: June 03, 2011 Audio for "Y":

  21. That's ace man, thanks for the first-hand insight! Well aware of the perils of copyright these days, I work at a small indie label - thanks VERY much for taking the time to provide the definitive explanation. I have a few BFA sample discs on my shelf... but I've never even put them in my computer
  22. While this release ("Voyager - Post Millenium Drum 'n' bass" by VA) has ABPRLP01 on the CD spine, the CDs have ABPRCD001 and ABPRCD002 on the inner matrix areas. As such, I think the catalogue number for the CD's entry should be revised accordingly. Also, robotone on DOA posted the tracklisting for the mix CD, and also the names for the three hidden tracks (after Track 10 on CD1): http://www.dogsonacid.com/showthread.php?threadid=675655&cache=6 As such I think the hidden tracks should be entered as 11, 12 and 13 for clarity along with the mix CD tracks
  23. http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/co_lab_...ings/co_lab017/ Track A should be "Impala" (as written on label), not "Imparla".
  24. Side B should be "Araicata", not "Ariacata". (this is according to label on full release)
  25. http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/basswerk_records/bw35/ Track B: Berlin (Phace Remix)
