I don't have a clip - its the last tune and comes after Intelligent Minds - Forever Real. I'm saying I'm unsure. You could be right. In an interview Hype mentioned that Shut Up And Dance were quietly putting together tunes throughout that year, the very set in your link is the one he reminisces. I will post the interview later, let me know if you are interested.

Having listened to the show again, the last track I would be willing to suggest was something out of the Hype / Ganja camp, reason I say this is the same 'Gangsta sh*t' sample appears in Krome & Time's Ruffneck Scouts, and the label states it was recorded at Hype's studio. They also remixed each other at one point, which only further convinces me of the possibility. It could of course be Krome & Time, especially as Hype plays another one of their tunes earlier, but the style speaks more Ganja / Frontline to me than it does them.

It seems as I was too certain, the same dialogue can be heard introducing this studio tape.

I've no idea about tape packs as I only enjoy through other people's efforts into archiving these recordings, I'm only posting as I took interest in Hype's selection around this time period after listening to an interview where he shares his experience of playing events as a DJ who was increasingly playing more and more jungle and drum and bass (by which I mean full on jungle that was no longer hardcore, of course we understand there was plenty of jungle before this event). Credit to whoever may have ripped the original tape, if it was indeed released on tape, and to Mindwarp for uploading the following sets. I've stumbled upon what could be LTJ Bukem (Euphoria 'Club Oblivion' - 17.02.1996) on his Mixcloud: Thumbnail on the page as below - my guess is he received this tape directly from the promoters.

I remember listening to that EP (it had only recently come out) and finding that sample quite attention-grabbing. Looking back I could've been a bit more suggestive about the ID.

Perfect! It's so uplifting and optimistic-sounding I may just get myself a copy off discogs. I recently came across two more recordings of Metalheadz nights, both Doc Scott. One is from Blue Note and the other from the Leisure Lounge, neither of which seem to be listed on this site to my knowledge, nor on MixesDB. Do you reckon it's a good idea to compile a thread of all Metalheadz related sets out there? A lot of intrigue surrounding these nights.

Thanks! Had a feeling it'd be Justice (has him written all over it), but would've never guessed it'd be a remix of Detroit. It sounds to me like he hasn't retained many elements of the original in this remix, almost like a reinterpretation. A shame it's unreleased as it's so good, I hope it doesn't differ too wildly from either of the released mixes on PM016, can't find audio anywhere for those unfortunately. 1996-03-??
