    They're the same, the Boom Tunes cat#'s are all over the place. Here's the correct cat#'s for the entire label: Etchings first (followed by label if different) 1 - BMT001 2 - BMT002 / BMT2 3 - BMT9403 / BMT3 4 - BMT9404 5 - BMT5 6 - BMT6 7 - BMT07 8 - BMT08

    JE01 / JE001

You should list both cat#'s. It's related to this release as it has the same "Jungle" label (in a different color). http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/white_label/jj_01

    Badman

According to this interview below, he was Badman (IQ). Hmm... Marvellous Cain also was Lion Man as well. Lot's of really interesting info about him, press numbers for his releases, and just about the scene in general. It looks like there was supposed to be a remix of RZ001R but never made it out (?) and another release called Dub Style on Runninz... Not sure if that got renamed. Sponge goes by the name Salt Fish (IQ Records #8). Source: http://goldenerajungle.com/php-files/viewp...php?page_id=766
  5. Very nice Ornette, keep me in the loop when it goes live, so I'll be on the lookout. I might post up a grip of dubs that I'd like to get ID'd, just need to convert snippets of them to MP3.

    SOUR 16T

Yeah, I'm curious if it's even Elisabeth Troy's vocals on SMRS21T, they sound slightly different to me. But I agree with the logical thinking that the Soundman WL was released first, SOUR picked it up, possibly adding in Elisabeth Troy to do the vocals and then releasing SOUR016/P/X. The WL SMRS21T never mentioned it to be a collaboration of both Don Lloydie & Soundman as well, so maybe this is just Soundman's version? Who knows. Great tune.

Except... he's 100% right about this. First, I gotta say, nice catch Ornette. But there are two small differences: first, there is a small vocal bit at the very beginning of the track on GTOL930, and it's obviously cut off on GTOL930 where it would continue on AZ1. But otherwise it's identical, right down to an oddly muffled part of an Irini vocal towards the end of the tune. I think calling the second track of the A Side of GTOL930: DJ Dextrous feat. Irini - Jungle Love Part 1 (alt. mix, edited) or DJ Dextrous feat. Irini - Jungle Love Part 1 (B side mix, edited) Or at least some reference in the notes that this mix on Land of the Giants is originally the B Side to AZ1, slightly edited would be correct, simply to clarify that this is that same tune, but slightly different thus adding "Edit". Edit: sorry that I jumped your post there Ornette, haha. Saw you posting during the preview.

Hmm, curious that you think the second mix on that Land of the Giants release is a Part 1 mix as I'm doing this from memory now, I always thought they were pretty different. I'll have to check it out when I get home.

    A. DJ Dextrous feat. Irini - Jungle Love Part 1 B. DJ Dextrous feat. Irini - Jungle Love Part 1 (alternative mix) I have a stamped WL copy of this with "Jungle Love Part 1" stamped on and on the bottom of this is stamped "DJ D", so that title would make more sense. Also, it should be noted that this has RITJ1 (A side)/RITJ001 (B side) etched in the vinyl but crossed out (possibly standing for "Rumble In The Jungle"?). Funny how this release and it's Part 2 release on Land of the Giants have a crossed out catalogue number in the etching.

    Ibiza

Gonna have to bump this one. And this is the result of what happens when I'm sick as hell for 3 days. Let's see if I can make some sense of this. The Ibiza Catalogue listed on the "Highly Blessed Downloads" section of the site seems to have a number of releases that I'm pretty positive never got released onto vinyl the way they are portrayed on the site, likewise, there's a number of actual vinyl Ibiza releases that don't seem to match up to that discography. For example, the one that we already talked about in this thread earlier, and I'm comparing the Highly Blessed releases to Ibiza Records releases that I actually have: IR049 - TWO ON A TIP - A: CLOSE TO YOU / B: EVERY TIME I SEE YOUR FACE (From Highly Blessed discography) IR049 - unknown artist - 3 tracker sampling "Pulp Fiction" (actual Ibiza 12" release) Two totally different releases. Here's another example: IR050 - TWO ON A TIP - A: EVERY DOG HAS IT'S DAY / B: EVERY DOG HAS IT'S DAY (REMIX) (from Highly Blessed discography) IR050 - unknown artist (GT?) - two track Ibiza record promo, totally different from the proper release below (actual Ibiza 12" release) IR050 - GT & Jay Cee - Every Dog Has It's Day / Smile (actual Ibiza 12" release) Sort of similiar, but yet, completely different (and the promo IR050 doesn't help the cause). One more example: IR052 - D. NATURAL - A: JUNGLE FUSION / B: RIVERS FROM HOME (from Highly Blessed discography) IR52 - unknown artist - Mirror Mirror/21st Century (2 track white label 12" release, no 0 in etching catalogue number, needs to be updated in rdb) Now these 3 releases alone confirm to me that somethings not adding up right. And I'd feel pretty comfortable (even though I don't own these releases personally) that this probably goes for IR051, IR053, IR054, and IR055, which I'm sure someone here can confirm. So where did this catalogue from Highly Blessed come from? It came from this release below, when you open up CD liner notes it's listed out neatly, identical to the Highly Blessed webpage. Jungerlistic Gold Vol. 1 What's interesting about the discography listed in the liner notes for this release is it dates IR050 - IR061 as 1995 releases, but as we know (and proven above for those 3), this didn't actually happen and different tunes were instead released onto vinyl. Here's where it get's really confusing, at least to me. If this was supposedly the release schedule on vinyl, and this CD was released January 24th, 1996 (according to the back cover), how did everything get so mixed up? As already pointed out by Ornette, many of these later Ibiza releases from the Highly Blessed and Avex Trax discography were tunes that were already put out on the Junglism - Vol. 1 release in 1994! Basically, re-releasing many earlier tunes (and at least one tune I can't find at the moment, Original Lover by Junior Dangerous) as singles. Heck, IR057, which isn't even listed on Highly Blessed, was simply going to be a re-release of Let's Rave/Don't Stop by Potential Bad Boy according to the liner notes. My suggestion for rdb: ditch this release IR049 unless someone can confirm it's actual existance on vinyl, and note that Ibiza releases IR056 through IR061 are MP3-only releases through Highly Blessed unless someone can provide proof that these exist on 12" (which in my honest opinion, they don't exist at all on vinyl).

    pin high

Pin High #3 doesn't follow the same cat#'s as the first, it's PHJA003. I've have two copies of Pin High #1 (ANT001) and they both state "Pin High Recordings" like you said. And on one of my copies of #2 just has "Pin High" stamped on (the other just being a WL). Very odd. The full phone number is 0181 986 6060.
  14. Damn, that's a great record, gonna have to keep on the lookout for that one. Thanks for confirming that.
  15. It's Hit After Hit from this: http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/desert_storm/storm4lp or http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/desert_storm/storm3lp I'm more interested what the last track is.
  16. Regardless, it's a lead, thanks jj. And thanks for the confirmation Force, I was going back and forth with that Run Come version, it just didn't sound exactly like the Hard Step mix on the 12". Didn't have that Jungle Massive Vol. 2 to compare either.
  17. Private seller. Sorry, I wish I could help you there. Edit: Oh, when exactly? A couple of years ago, had it for a long time and sort of slipped my mind.
  18. You're right, this one did come out on WL, not exactly sure how many copies are out there. Mine's just has handwritten on it "The Dream Team - Worky Worky" and it has two mixes of that tune. Cat# INT003.

    Dread & The Bald Head

Compare it to Wicked Man on Brain (especially for the D&TBH tunes) and it's amazingly similar IMO. Lionist, though, surprised me as well.
  20. Dread & The Bald Head - A B + T Production - aka Bizzy B + TDK (confirmed by Bizzy B) Bizzy B also went under Lionist.

Nice! Still, are these later releases confirmed on vinyl, or were these releases "put together" for that mp3 website? I'd love to have that Soul In The Jungle on a regular 12"...

    Ibiza

What the hell, Ibiza releases go up to 61?? Are these confirmed vinyl releases??? Looks like some of the tunes from the Jungle Splash LP... *insert shocked smiley* IR049, mines a 3 tracker (one side WL, other side promo Ibiza label) with just the Pulp Fiction samples IIRC, so now there's a two tracker... I'm confused.

Check eBay, maybe Craig ripped it up.

    RM001 (HMP)

That's just what the label says on the flip, doesn't really give any indication how many copies there are out there, might have just been a promo only ordeal. Regardless, it's an amazing record. It's a remix of this release: LS002 - Prisoner - Mr. Fix It/Bob
