wow... talk about being late... LOL! unfortunately the audio for the version i prefer is no longer online. i do got it somewhere on cd or tape tho. but it had a much longer, darker breakdown, and was just longer in general. you can tell the version released (and is also the same version on that ed rush mix from '97), is the final one where optical really shined it up with his filters and stuff, cuz the other version i'm talking about doesn't have all those filters throughout the tune... eventually i'll find my audio of it and put it online.

i heard there's a tune by seba called "logical aggression"... see if you can track it down bhima...

for the record, # 09 on that bukem mix is actually the flip, "streams of thought"... "breathless" is the amen side... and it's a shame that piano wasn't in the released version of "sorrow"... why he changed it just b/c a couple guys didn't like it is strange to me, fuck 'em, that piano line is dope, and certainly called for at that part of the tune... it takes the vibe up a notch imo...

i dig this alternate version, but i still prefer the headz release... personally, i dig the tighten up fills, and other things about it more (like the break switching, it's some of my favorite break switching ever actually, and that one windy sound, it makes it sound all dark, it's got a rad atmosphere to it, the headz release version just screams techstep to me, but i've always loved that tune since i bought it in '96, i still play it)...

did that ever come out though?...

he actually calls it: "alright for more v.i.p.", but close enough... there's also these bits: "hold me, love me" "amour" "forever remix"

as for the "remote control" amen, i've heard through the grapevine that digital sampled it from a bukem tune... listen to the amen in: grace - "if i could fly (ltj bukem's roll it mix)" it's amen, layered w/ something else (a common break, just don't know the name of it, may be that elvis one you were talking about)... sounds an aweful lot like the "remote control" amen... there's also another tune i've heard bukem play back in the day that uses the same break, which i'm assuming is the tune this thread was started about... speaking of which, when will the audio be up?...

good gosh... baaaaaaaaaaad tune... you can tell it was made around the same time as "crime '96", the distorted amen sounds similar... nice one...

on some of my old bukem tapes, i've noticed special versions of tunes, perhaps pre-release versions... stuff like: source direct's "exit 9" w/ lil' drums in the intro, where as there are none on the release version... an extra 16 bars (at least) of drums in the intro of "the rhode tune" by flytronix, and it also lacks the vocal "my soul... get some soul" towards the end... and slightly different vocals in voyager's "hypersleep"... in the release version they leave out her sayin' "what?" at the end of the vocal, and i also think there's some extra bit at the beginning of the vocal... on the vinyl it says "original mix '97 revamp", but i can't find any info for a released version prior to that one... and i'm sure there's lots more... i'll rip these as soon as i get the means to...

btw, i noticed nobody has images in their signatures, in fact, hardly anyone has a signature at all on here (which is probaly a good thing)... i tried to put my soulcraft logo in my signature and it didn't show up, it was just the link w/ the image tags around it... i then tried to put it in my avatar, as it said it would shrink it, but it looked all weird... so what can i do (don't know how to make it work personally)?... here's the logo: http://www.prahjekt.com/misc/soulcraft_black.gif

anyone heard this... it's basically "safeguard", but it was different, it had more amen/reece fills, and a vocal sayin' "i can feel it"... i liked it way more than the release version... i'll try to get the set where i heard it and post a clip...

after having to put my name in a million times during my bombardment of the unreleased forum tonight, i went ahead and registered... i should have done that b4 the bombarment though... my post count would already be 20+, LOL... oh well... just wanted to say respect for this!... it's great to see the hard work and dedication to this music you guys must have to do this... it will definitely be a huge part of the foundation of this music many, many years from now, perhaps the most thorough database of d&b ever... plus now i don't feel so odd for being such a nerd about this music... my friends have referred to me as a walking encyclopedia of music, hopefully i can contribute some of that to this spot... but again, respect, and thanx... http://www.subvertcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/xyxthumbs.gif
