  5. Interesting stuff, thanks! Your youtube link is wrong though, it takes you to Eric B & Rakim. Here is the link I think you meant to paste:
  6. It says "I can, I can set you free". It's clean, kind of (a bit timestretched), at the start of this remix: I have never found the source, but will post back here if I do.

  14. "something's got me so excited, don't wanna lose your love, you're the only one I want, you make me feel so fine you're always on my mind, you're like a dream come true" The chipmunk vocal from Macka Brown - Dub Plate Style (Labello Blanco) There's an acapella version on the 12" so that's where it will have come from
  15. I don't know the original source but for me it brings to mind some new jack swing kinda beats, and what they have done with the snare over the top reminds me of Bell Biv Devoe - Poison, which would have been out around the same time as this or maybe a year or so earlier.
  16. I think it's exactly as you say, a combination of the hotpants break and a loop from Trigger - Wisdom. It might be difficult to recreate yourself because: - It sounds like it was sampled on quite a lo fi sampler - The samples are looped quite badly!
  17. Thanks, I'd obviously forgotten about this discussion! ID'd thanks to one of our local reggae stations where I heard it played the other week
  18. Intro vocal "On the turntable we have, a new 45" Sampled by Shut Up & Dance - 5, 6, 7, 8 (Shut Up & Dance) The Good, 2 Bad & Hugly - Jungle (Ruff Kut)
  19. Noises at the start and bassline sampled on Jo - Murder (Awesome Records)
  20. It's taken me several decades to clock this, but the "wooooah hoohhh" vocal in this is sliced up in little bits in Foul Play - Survival
  21. Just a low sample rate, perhaps it was done on an SP1200 with the samples sped up to fit and then pitched down. Or perhaps it was just made on an Amiga (more likely for a Brit crew).
  22. I assume you are talking about the youtube video uploaded by 'hektikal'. The film dialogue at the start is from predator (if I remember rightly). No idea why he has included it on the video but it's not part of the Dominant Force tune.
  23. http://rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=60101 Always worth a search on here first
  24. Aside from the think break I don't think I can ID any of the other samples in Work the Box! The main "work the box" vocal has to be from a chicago house tune, surely.
  25. This one is a proper stinker... https://www.discogs.com/DJ-Dance-DJ-Dance/master/247815
