Ornette
Well - talking of unauthorised Chaka Demus samples... (on my 'The Dream Team' post) hows about this: In mid-1994 Nicky Blackmarket was presenting his show on Pulse F.M. and introduced this track as being "Terrorist Part 3". It started off with a piano intro, with a similarly stlyed but different melody to the original, which repeated over and over for a number of bars, then taking from the Chaka Demus & Pliers track "Tease Me" it went: "...your love, is like burning fire in my soul..." a few times (absolutely enthralling intro by the way), until eventually it ends and a proper mashed amen and hoover bassline combination drops -how awesomely it did too! It became quite an anthem for a while during the middle of 1994 with a number of DJ's dropping it - guaranteeing themselves a rewind in the process. What a tune! But whatever became of it? A sorely missed gem from 1994. http://rolldabeats.com/release/16036/unreleased/unreleased002
Phokus
hehe I think i've got that very same show on tape somewhere at home... i've got a feeling it's the grooverider remix, that came out on one of the 10" remixes
haste
Grooverider mix didn't have a Chaka Demus sample in it, I don't think

Got one person who knew the tune I was chatting about, but he couldn't find the tape! P.P.S. No I am NOT talking about "Nina's Rinse" I know the tune you mean - I'll get a clip sent to Haste tonight. Ornette
Reference to this track, and confirmation of title, in the Black Market Records Top Ten Charts - by Ray Keith in Eternity magazine #20 August 1994 (no number - but equates to #5): "Renegade/Terrorist Part III - Is it really over Watch out."
