Stumbled across this ... an article written in 1987 about Faze1 FM, a pirate station running out the same address stamped on the Mendoza labels (5 Oval Place) Faze1 FM 90.9 FMThe 'hippest and most happening alternative radio station on the airwaves', with soul, funk, hip-hop and more, 24 hours a day. and the line-up included [snipped] : Weekdays 12pm DJ Fabio ..1am Groove Rider (Mo) Desi G & Barry White (Tu) S.J.B. (We) Clive B (Th) Ester J (Fr) Sunday 9am Groove Rider ..8pm Mendoza So that's a nice bit of background info. And it seems that Faze1 are still going .. and they still share the same contact details as Mendoza Records. mindthegap Posted January 22, 2022 Report Share Posted January 22, 2022 I posted a comment on the discogs label entry a while ago, as the Faze 1 radio studios were mentioned in a Fabio interview as being above a shebeen.
