haste Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 All info from this link http://www.yomster.com/tondef.html http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/tone_def/tonedef002dj That would suggest that the artist is "French Underground" an alias for Yomi Ayeni. Title is "Inspiree EP" not Inpsire "Inspiree was the second musical outing for Tone Def Records. It was a 5 track e.p. with a remix of Thank God, several techno compositions and a bootleg remix of a Ryuichi Sakamoto track. Yomi met Ryuichi in Edinburgh and gave him a copy of the track." In the audio part of the site it says that it's a 5-track EP. The mp3 that you can grab is called "Fall Down", presumably one of the tracks. Year is 1991 http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/tone_def/tonedef001dj "our first outing was Morsecode's seminal house track "Thank God" an anthem in Ibiza, and the "Second Summer of Love"". A: Morsecode - Thank GodB: Morsecode - ??? Year is 1989 Morsecode = Alex Gold & Yomi Ayeni http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/tone_def/tonedef004dj *** need help on this one from someone who has this release...I'm not 100% on these details *** I think this should be a four track EP or there are two versions of the 12". I'm not sure whether the b-sides are more mixes of the a-side or tracks by the French Underground. THe link would suggest taht they are separate tracks. There are a few possibilities here looking at info on link and from Discogs A1: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Mix 1)A2: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Mix 2)B1: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Type 1 French Underground Mix)B2: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Type 2 Darren Jay Mix) A1: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Mix 1)A2: Pain Of Dance - Hear No Evil (Mix 2)B1: French Underground - Type 1B2: French Underground - Type 2 (Darren Jay Mix???) There's loads more on the link...gotta run now, though. Some else feel free to have a look through Quote
Ornette Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 The site indicates there was a TONEDEF012 BUT that never got released! Dance Intelligence - Do That Dance (1993) "The record was pressed, but never released. Contractual problems with the company representing the artist led to the band and track being dropped. "So we can add details for this now: TONEDEF012DJ previous threads...http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47221http://www.rolldabeats.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=32642 Quote
