Ornette
:dancing: Woot! Now thats what I'm talking about!! I've been desperate to track down this break for ages, and you've done it. Used in LOADS of hardcore tunes!DJ Hype - Weird Energy Tigers In Space - Untitled RevolutionSecret Squirrel - BogwoppaMad Ragga Jon - Rude Bwoy RamboI'd been wanting to track this down for a while, but had no luck really. I had managed to find *some* details on it in an old Touch magazine dated Nov 1992/#22 (when it was still a free magazine), in the 'Hard Corner' column by Nicky Blackmarket, but hadn't progressed further than that 3 RUDEBOYS (Mad House)The 'Herb' remix is in true ragga feel and very addictive with the beats and bass, and has some mad chord breakdowns through the track. Gets fast and furious as you go into the track - wild. 'Rambo Rude Boy' has some mad 'Other Way' breaks cut up. You will understand when you hear the toon - very deep and dark. No idea what 'Other Way' is but looks like you've hit the jackpot with the true source! Now... Lets see how many other tunes people can name with this break in it...!

Ornette
if you listen to 4:56 (and beyond) of this (Demon Boyz - Vibes)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7BMdB7_69o I can't help think there's a conection here. You're right. Clearly a beat already in progress at the Music Of Life studios. I keep thinking this beat is similar to the one whats in Peace Is Not The Word To Play http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttODCsWWsUE If we can figure out what this is we can list it as the 2nd gen break Anyhow, also used by Digital & Spirit in 2003 in the track "Falling"!
