Are any of the music house cuts listed on the net, theres a couple of pieces on discogs that have been placed in some american label of the same name, but i can't find a trace of the london pressing house???

afaik music house wasn't a record label. So it would be strange to actually have releases on 'music house'...

Yeah no doubt, but i was just wondering if there was an catalog online somewhere of sum of the pieces that were pressed there??

Nowhere I know online to see this info. We'll be adding this to the database soon so there'll be a way to list all releases that have had Music House added as manufacturer

As Manipulator says, Music House, like all the other plate cutting places aren't labels, so I guess its a tricky one really - for e.g. I've got copies of Dope Pt2 on both Music House and JTS dubplates but would you really want to list them? And is there much value of doing so?

 

Discogs tends to have dubplate/acetate tracks, where listed, as simply 'Not On Label'. Admittedly, the only situation where I've listed acetates/dubplates in that situation are where the track hasn't been released or its significant enough to warrant an entry - I ummed and arred for quite a while over listing my plate of Dextrous - Moonlight, and only did so in the end because it simply wasn't listed anywhere else on discogs (as I don't believe the 'Rites of Passage' CD is listed).

 

Interested to see what Haste/Logic consider for here?

Something i suggested along time ago was a custom entry for your collection. Then you could add any dubplates you own to your collection but they wouldn't go into the main database?

I don't see the point in listing dubplates. If you really did this seriously then the database would be full of them and that info, to me, is useless. Fair enough it's a record of stuff that's unreleased but I think there are better ways of doing this. Quite why you'd list plates of stuff that did come out is beyond me, that makes no sense at all.

Unreleased tracks, unknowns and remixes is what i was more interested in, for ID purposes and the like

I'd rather build a list of known unreleased tunes that can then be added to artist profiles than make a record of every plate ever cut.
