Nice! That's EXACTLY how I used to make tunes back in the 90s! Amiga + OctaMED with loads of samples.

 

Interesting how Aphrodite did the volume fading on each drum hit in steps of ten: C60,C50,C40,C30,C20 etc as I used to do it starting at C64 (full volume) and going down evenly in steps from that. Looks easier his way though!
