it's kinda upsetting because I thought LTJ had come up with those breaks/chops himself. I think that's a beefed up hotpants with 808's and stuff.

What year was P.B.B? Discogs doesn't know. The Hot Pants used sounds timestretched like the stretch breaks one from Simon Harris, but obviously not impossible they stretched it themselves if P.B.B is pre 91.

 

Loads of early Bukem was a load of lifts from other house or hardcore tracks, cleverley mixed together, like a 7 minute DJ set with different beats in some ways. Kind of like sample montage, but with no exclusion of source (where some people would never sample their own style of music to make a new tune). Still, they are all classics, and Omni Trio's best tune too.

I'm not convinced it's right now that this Simon Harris album has been mentioned - can anyone provide a clip or tell me if the simon harris thing has the same chops and sub bass as used on Omni Trio?

No it's just the break mate. PBB is definitely the source for music and feel good with the arrangement and all. I guess what I am wondering is the source of PBB.
