Could something like The Pulse ever be an anthem today? I doubt it. It sounds so minimal but its simplicity is why it got lodged in everyone's head in 99/2000 and why it sold such vast quantities. The ridiculous sub base probably had something to do with it as well. Actually China Cup has stood the test of time much better but both tracks hail from a different age. Will we see their kind ever again - sadly probably not, increased computer power and overproduction has put paid to that. Shame
