  3. a bit vague on this one sorry but someone must know it. this was a tune from i think 93, i was still listening to hardcore at the time and before id heard jungle so i think it was about 93. the tune sampled a michael jackson tune (i think) the vocal was 'there be some darkness tonight' (i think!) then some mad amens came in. sick tune i think a red alert and mike slammer tune used simliar sounding beats, dont know if it was them or not though, already checked the db. cheers

  7. ive only heard that d'cruze tune once and i seem to remember the lyrics not being sade, but if you can confirm any of the lyrics from the heaven tune or i could just post a longer clip

  10. baaad tune samples that 80s soul tune which goes' "baby baby don't cry, baby baby come dry your eye for me" or something. this tune doesn't sample the vocal bit, just the intro of that tune (comes in at 1.21 of my link). http://media.putfile.com/babybabydontcry any help really appreciated on dis one.

    Clips site

    did this site have clips of old tunes? sounds really useful if it was, shame there is nothing like that at present (that i know of). trying to find audio of old tunes is sometimes difficult. is this something rdb are considering/would consider in future?

  17. ok, here are the manchester ones i can remember. some info may slightly wrong (over 10 years ago now!) any manchester heads pls update or add to this. in order of freqency; name: Buzz 88 FM freq: 88.0 area: Manchester known years running: manchester's longest running pirate. started around 95/96 i think, been off and on ever since. at present time it was last on air in 2008 to my knowledge. has long periods of downtime. days/times on air: 24/7 (in 95-97) just weekends in more recent times. basic style genre: soul. rnb, hip hop. known dj's - non jungle/dnb: eric b (station owner), geoff martel, gordon west (legendary manchester soul dj), tiny g (also from soul nation - see below), borderline crew (miller and jose), dj snowy, 'dan de mike' (sp?), cant remember the rest now. known dj's - jungle/dnb: dj impact. jungle/dnb shows: Thursday Eve and/or Sunday afternoon other: there was an article in manchester evening news around 2005. station owner eric b was fined £10,000 for the running of the station but vowed to be back (and he was). buzz fm website featured pics of eric b with celebraties such as wyclef jean. station would sometimes stream online. ********************************** name: Luv NRG / Love Energy (La More) freq: 99.7 area: Manchester known years running: not sure, i discovered it in 93. went off for good in 97 i think days/times on air: 24/7 basic style genre: soul. rnb, hip hop. known dj's - jungle/dnb: Revolution Crew (DJ Direkt, Sappo), DJ Inflict in early years, Raggabeats Crew (Devious Devon, MC Crystalize).   18. I can provide some info on some the manchester ones but they were usually soul/reggae or hip hop by day and would have jungle shows on some nights. so in other words, they werent strictly jungle/dnb pirates (apart from one i can think of) Do you still want this info?
  19. hmm, not much help sorry but i can just tell you that the 2 tunes you posted are the same 2 tunes as this release http://www.rolldabeats.com/release/congo_natty/lion10 but you say its not the 2004 cut (althogh that says 2003??)
