sven Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Hi everybody Does anyone know this track that samples the famous guitar riff from the film "Pulp Fiction"? CLIP of the original tune here (Track 3 "Misirlou"): http://music.allofmp3.com/r2/Dick_Dale/Kin.../mcatalog.shtml It's a track built around this guitar sample, must be from around 95. Any help is much appreciated! Quote
haste Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Not totally sure but I do vaguely remember something like that...maybe a Joker Recs tune? Quote
MR2 Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Was on Ibiza Records mid/late 1995. Similar mixes on both sides Quote

MR2 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 You know what? I think I've been trying to ID that one myself for years! Is the Ezekiel 25:17 thing timestretched? Indeed sir. Also has the sample, "Any of you fuckin pricks move and I'll execute every motherfuckin last one of you" etc etc Quote
haste Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Wooooo-hoooooooooo! That's the one. Been trying to ID that since 95 I bet I get it and realise that it's shit now Quote
MR2 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) I actually gave my copy away to a friend who is a big Pulp Fiction fan, it isnt the best tune in the world. Turns out that it might be rare then, maybe I'll see if I can get it back off him *edit* I do have audio on a tape if you'd like to try before you buy ? Edited December 14, 2005 by MR2 Quote
haste Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 If you have a clip that would be wicked. I just remember hearing it at the time and thinking that I wanted it. Those later Ibiza releases were pretty crap on the whole so I'm thinking that I might have been young & deaf when I decided it was "good" in 1995 Quote
MR2 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 CLIP Ignore the 'Yeah maan, baad maan' vocal, I think that was mixed over the top. This was the main side as far as I can remember, the flip was on a less bassy tip. Quote
theorie Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 There was a 12" that came out in the past couple of years; two different mixes of a Pulp Fiction Theme (Miserlou) sampling tune. Both were very crap. Quote
haste Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 Hmmmmm that's not very good, is it? Quote
