Is this definitely from 1993? The Sweet FM show Peshay played it in was from late February/early March 1994 and if Grooverider played it on Kiss that would have been in 1994 as well.

Guess you're right JJ..

Listen to this.. and don't fall off your chair!

It's signed to...

GoodLooking...

So they own the DAT to it and the rights..

And they should give it back to the producer.. imo..

I'm not an expert in legal matters, but I'd be very surprised if Good Looking Records still have any rights over the tune. Even in the unlikely event there was a legally binding agreement between GLR & Flytronix in 1994, it will no longer be enforceable as all the various Good Looking companies set up between 93 & 97 were dissolved using the voluntary strike-off procedure in 2005.

Every artist that this has happened to over the last 20 years should club together and make a compilation of these dope tunes called either

"And What Fat Tony?"

"Sue Me Danny"

"Better Looking"

"Illogical Regression - The Solution to 20 years of lazy selfish label running"

Might have been made in 93 though. Peshay confirmed that Piano Tune / Vocal tune were both made in 93 in Hyper On experience's studio but not released. Think the delay was due to that illness that Peshay had which left him bedridden for a year.

I'd be surprised if Peshay made Piano Tune & Vocal Tune in 1993 and then waited a few months before starting to play them on dubplate in March 1994. It's far more likely he's forgotten the exact date he made them :)

Peshay had quite a severe illness and was bed-ridden for almost a year between 1993 and 1994 so he literally couldn't play out or make tracks in that period. I'm guessing he made Piano Tune / Vocal tune before, but couldn't play them out or get them cut until 1994.

Just as drum 'n' bass was finding mainstream acceptance and audiences in 1994, Peshay was struck with a debilitating illness that left him bed-ridden until his triumphant return, DJing at London's Blue Note club in 1996, alongside Doc Scott and Goldie.

Seems to be almost 2 years..

Anyone knows what illness he had?

As around a year later i was struck too for that time..

I had something with my immune system.. :angry2:

His comeback set at Metalheadz was in August 95 - I think it was on 13th August 1995. There's a review of that Metalheadz night in a late 1995 issue of Muzik Magazine.
