Top Buzz - Living In Darkness (DJ Phantasy & Shodan Remix) = Top Buzz - Living In Darkness (2004 DJ Phantasy & Shodan Remix)

edit:

Jack N Phil (featuring Wendy) We Are Unity (Full Vocal Mix) = Jack N Phil (featuring Wendy) We Are Unity (Vocal Mix) = Jack N Phil (feat. Wendy) - We Are Unity

Jack N Phil - Flying = Jack N Phil - Flying (Wendy Tekno Vocal Mix)

Does anyone know whether this release does have the original of Metrix on it?

I suspect it's the same tune as on

done these apart from the last one; will wait confirmation.

There is no original of "Matrix". From what I understand, it was Mayhem's first ever tune and was recorded at home.

When he got his deal with Basement it was decided to redo the same tune as it was badly produced and a bit naff. The end result was so different to the initial version he decided to call it a remix.

BRSSCL004 would then indeed be the same track as BRSS008

"Matrix - The Remix"

(might be worth titling like such, like original label does)

Nice one...I thought it might be something like that!

M-Beat (feat. Jamiroquai) - Do U Know Where You're Coming From? (Extended Mix)

is the same as

M-Beat (feat. Jamiroquai) - Do U Know Where You're Coming From? (Original Extended Mix)

I suggest we lose the original from the second one?

These releases should all be "The Lighter (DJ Friendly Remix)" instead of "The Lighter (Remix)"

I'm pretty sure that this one will be "The Lighter (Mix 2)"

Does anyone know this one?

edit: just found out that The Lighter's track ID is 90210

Yeah, let's list it as

Cloud 9 - Gonna Be Alright

with the remix on RUVET1239 being the "Nookie Remix"

Do you know what - I dont think this will work. I think that after all, we better had change the CLOUD2 release to say:

Nookie - Gonna Be Alright (Original)

Changing the RIVET1239 to have Cloud 9 as artist name for the track (with Nookie as remixer) will cause too many difficulties. How can we justify this change (combined with the track name change from all called "The Sound Of Music" to "Gonna Be Alright") with all its numerous appearances on various albums specifying Nookie as the artist?

Bump for this.

I do think better way is to have Nookie as track artist on CLOUD2 & VCON1.

I checked on my vinyl and it just said "Mutant Jazz", I had thought that it was called "Horny Mutant Jazz" as well but it appears that it's not!!

I didn't get into the whole renaming thing of the Trace remixes but, yeah, I think it might be fair enough to at least name the remix on Emotif - Mutant Jazz (DJ Trace Mutant Revisited Remix) or something like that?

Like Phokus said, though, it could just as easily be left as it is as it was pretty much a different tune by then

Yeah The original title was "horny mutant jazz" (on the CD singles and album, and "Mutant Jazz" on the vinyl???... S.O.U.R was a pretty understaffed and over smoked label as most small indie labels were/are )

But I can guarantee you don;t know why the trace remix was called Mutant Revisited :)

Now this is some crazy geek action, but I know because I was at the session when it was mastered as I was mastering a single on the same day

Spill the beans then ;)
